Pet care experience
I love your pet as much as you do!
Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve been caring for pets professionally for over 10 years. Through K4K9 Pet Sitting, I’ve had the privilege of caring for dogs, cats, senior pets, puppies, special-needs pets, and animals with all kinds of personalities, routines, and medical needs. I’m experienced with everything from everyday feeding, walking, playtime, and companionship to administering medications, including injections. I’m also Pet First Aid & CPR certified, insured and bonded, and have behavioral training that helps me better understand body language, fear, anxiety, reactivity, and the individual needs of the animals in my care. Over the years, I’ve learned that great pet care is about so much more than simply feeding a pet and letting them outside. I take the time to get to know each animal—their personality, routine, favorite things, quirks, boundaries, and what helps them feel safe and comfortable while their family is away. As a pet parent to a big crew of my own, animals are truly part of my everyday life. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your babies with someone else, and I never take the trust my clients place in me lightly. My goal is always to provide dependable, loving, personalized care and to become someone both you and your pets are genuinely happy to see again. 🐾♥️

Pets
Safety, trust & environment
I care for every pet as if they were my own, with safety, comfort, and trust always coming first. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and bedtime routines. I carefully follow all household instructions, keep doors, gates, and yards secure, and never allow pets off-leash outside of a securely enclosed area. I also pay close attention to each pet’s personality, behavior, body language, and individual needs. I believe pets are happiest when they feel safe and comfortable in their own environment, so I provide plenty of one-on-one attention, enrichment, playtime, walks, cuddles, and companionship based on what each pet enjoys. For pets who need a little extra space or have behavioral concerns, I’m happy to adjust their care accordingly. I’m also Pet First Aid & CPR certified, insured and bonded, and experienced with administering medications, including injections. I take the responsibility of being trusted with both someone’s pets and their home very seriously.
Ratings and reviews
We are so thankful to have Kara as our dog sitter! She’s so reliable, she’s great with communication, and the dogs love her!

Kara is amazing with the fur babies. She is easy to communicate with, timely, reliable and I can tell my animals adore her. She takes lots of pics and is a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend using her

Kara was fantastic with my aging lady that needs lots of special care! Will absolutely book her again!
I’ve been very resistant to letting anyone else give my kitty of 15 years her insulin shots. Found Rover and chose Kara based on all the glowing reviews and her ability to administer the shots. Kara was outstanding! Seriously, we could not have asked for a better experience! She is incredibly kind and our other furbabys just love her too, especially our Maltipoo! She always arrived on time and kept us up to date with pictures and a recap of how things went. Because of this, we were able to finally get out of town for a few days for the first time in years! :) I would absolutely recommend Kara as she is kind, responsible, and professional. The next time we need to leave town we will absolutely be calling Kara for her services! You rock Kara!

Took GREAT care of our Mastiffs.
Kara is amazing and Luna loves her

Schedule
K4K9 Pet Sitting isn’t just a job that I clock in and out of—it’s something that is woven into my everyday routine. My days are planned around the animals in my care. I start my mornings taking care of my own dogs and pets before heading out for morning visits with clients. Depending on my schedule, my day can include feeding, medications, potty breaks, walks, playtime, cleaning up after pets, refreshing water, and making sure each animal gets individual attention and affection. I also send updates and photos so their families can feel comfortable knowing their pets are happy and well cared for. Throughout the day, I travel between clients for scheduled visits while also managing the behind-the-scenes parts of running my own business—answering messages, scheduling bookings, communicating with clients, updating my calendar, maintaining my website and social media, keeping records, purchasing supplies, and planning upcoming stays. When I provide overnight care, my entire routine revolves around my client’s pets. I typically begin with a morning visit around 8 AM, return around midday for another potty and play break, come back around dinner, and then return around 10–11 PM to settle in with them for the night. The next morning, I get up and start the routine all over again. In between all of that, I still have my own animals waiting for me at home who need meals, potty breaks, attention, exercise, enrichment, and lots of love. 🐾♥️ Because I am a one-woman business, there really isn’t a separate “work life” and “home life.” Pet care is part of almost every portion of my day. My schedule has to be carefully planned around where I need to be, when animals need medication or meals, how long I can be away, travel time between homes, and the individual needs of every pet. It’s a lot of responsibility, but caring for animals has been my career for years and it’s something I genuinely love. My daily routine may look a little different depending on which pets I’m caring for, but one thing stays the same: my days revolve around making sure the animals depending on me are safe, comfortable, cared for, and loved.
