Hi, I’m Kara! Animals have been a part of my life since I was little. My soul dog, Beau, recently crossed the rainbow bridge, and while I’m not ready to bring another pup into my home just yet, I miss having dogs around—which is why I’d love to help care for yours. I’ve had dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors, and I understand the unique needs that come with every life stage. I’m also experienced in administering medications, including giving insulin shots for diabetic dogs, so you can feel confident that your pet will get the care they need. While dogs have always had my heart, I’ve also lived with cats and am just as happy to look after your feline friends if they’re a package deal. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry loved one in someone else’s care, and I promise to provide the same love, patience, and attention I gave Beau. I’d be honored to spend time with your pets and keep their tails wagging (or purring!) while you’re away!

I had a wonderful experience with Kara! She cared for our sweet Maya for 2 nights and provided frequent updates with lots of pictures. This helped give us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Maya was happy, comfortable, and receiving plenty of attention. Kara is reliable, communicates well, and genuinely caring! We really appreciated all of the updates and the love she showed Maya. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter!
Kara was a fantastic host to our two labs! She was very quick to respond communicate, allowed a meet and greet beforehand, and sent several pictures of them during their stay! The dogs absolutely loved Kara! We will definitely use here again!
We love Kara almost as much as our dog, Zoey! Kara is extremely reliable and takes such good care of our pup when we go away making planning vacations so much less stressful. She’s the most amazing dog sitter and Zoey truly loves her home away from home.
We are so thankful to have Kara as a pup sitter! She stayed at our house while watching our 2 energetic dogs and 2 cats, and handled the chaos of the animals and house so well. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were comfortable at home and being cared for by someone patient, reliable, and genuinely loving towards our animals! We came home to happy dogs and a house that was just as we left it. I highly recommend her if you want the best care for your furmily!
Kara has taken care of my cat on several occasions. There is no doubt that she has a love for all animals. She treated my cat as if she was she was her own and updated me knowing what it’s like to have a pet and worrying about them when you’re away. She is knowledgeable about animals, patient when my cat was crazy and always made sure my cat was loved! It made leaving my cat a little easier knowing if something happened Kara would know exactly what to do and overall that she was in the best care possible!
I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Kara. Leaving your dog, especially one with medical needs, is never easy, but Kara gives us complete peace of mind every single stay. She loves Higgins like he’s her own and cares for him with so much patience, attention, and genuine affection. My pup absolutely adores her, and I’m so grateful to have someone so trustworthy caring for him.

Schedule
I currently work from home 3+ days out of the week. On office days I am typically away from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm but I have a pretty flexible schedule if I need to make any adjustments.

Safety, trust & environment
I’m a new homeowner with a big backyard! It is not currently fenced but looking to fence it soom. Pets are allowed all throughout the house but can certainly crate your pups if preferred.
A typical day
Your pet will get to enjoy a large backyard, playing with toys, and all the butt scratches! They will have access to the entire home and I will be with them the entire time since I work from home. I also live around the corner from the Cross Seminole Trail and can bring them on longer walks in the afternoon.
