Kara has been an animal person for as long as I can remember, and she has spent most of her life caring for all kinds of animals. We grew up with a rabbit, fish, hamsters, a bird, and a dog. She also raised ducks and worked at a kennel over the summers. She even had a fish, Shark Bait, that she took back and forth to college with her for years, and she had him for what felt like forever. I’ve trusted her with my own pets, too. She helped care for my parakeet, Fiesta, when I was away and took care of my cat, Sheik, for my husband and me several times over the years. She now has three dogs of her own that she absolutely adores, and if there’s a dog-friendly trip, patio, or outing, they’re probably coming with her.
