My Pet Care Experience 🐾 Animals have always been a big part of my life. I was raised around smaller dogs, so that’s what I grew up knowing first. As I got older, I started being around bigger breeds too, and over time I got just as comfortable with them. I’ve also grown up around horses, fish, rabbits, and different kinds of animals, so being around animals has always felt natural to me. A lot of what I know about dogs comes from actually growing up with them—seeing their different personalities, learning their routines, understanding when they want attention and when they need their space, and learning how much they rely on the people taking care of them. I’ve gotten to experience the fun parts of raising animals, but I’ve also experienced what it’s like to lose one. Going through that made me realize even more how much these animals become a part of your life. Because of that, when I take care of someone’s pet, I don’t look at them as just another dog I’m watching. I think about how I would want my own pets to be treated if I wasn’t there. I want them to feel comfortable with me, keep their normal routine, and have someone around who genuinely enjoys being with them.
