Unfortunately, our experience was very different from the many positive reviews for this sitter, which is why I feel it’s important to share it. When we picked Reine up, we immediately knew something was not right. We know our dog extremely well, and her behavior was completely unlike her normal behavior after being cared for by someone else. She ran straight to my husband whining and did not look back at the sitter or say goodbye. Normally, Reine acknowledges and says goodbye to people who have cared for her, so this stood out to us immediately. During the hour-long drive home, she was extremely tense, anxious, shaky and whiny. She never seemed to settle. Even small normal behaviors were absent — for example, she normally shakes out her coat/body in the car, something that admittedly drives us crazy because of the hair, but she didn’t do it once during the entire drive. Her body remained tense instead. We stopped because we thought perhaps she urgently needed to use the bathroom, but she did not. She also appeared unusually exhausted and sleep-deprived when we got her back. Overall, she simply did not seem like herself. I also felt uneasy about the updates we received during her stay. The photos did not give us much sense of how Reine herself was doing or whether she was comfortable and settled. At pickup, seeing her condition and behavior made that lack of reassurance much more concerning in retrospect. I cannot say what happened while Reine was in this sitter’s care because I wasn’t there, and I don’t want to make accusations about something I didn’t personally witness. I can only describe the condition in which our dog was returned to us. Reine was clearly distressed and behaved in ways we have not experienced when picking her up from other caregivers. I understand that this sitter has many excellent reviews, and I’m not discounting other people’s experiences. Unfortunately, this was ours, and based on Reine’s condition and behavior when she was returned to us, we would not feel comfortable leaving her here again.

Kandra service was excellent!!! She is a kind caring person who my boy instantly liked. The property was clean with large yards for big dogs. She kept me informed on how he was doing with pictures. Capone bonded with her family as her children also helped care for him while playing ball. Capone is a 110lb pitbull mastiff bread. Hes a rescue, who rescued me. He’s a very big dog and was well taken care of. Kandra cared for him as if he were her own and that means the world to me.

Kandra took excellent care of our dog, Roxie. She was always very quick to respond and willing to send updates. We really appreciated that she has a gated yard and is experienced with escape artist dogs. We also appreciated that she has extra kennels, making it an easy transition. Kandra said they'll be moving soon; hopefully their new property will have the same amenities. Roxie was happy and healthy when we picked her up after a 6-night boarding stay. Would highly recommend, and would be quick to return again! :-)

Rosie loves going to Kandra’s house. She knows the road and starts getting excited before we even pull up to the driveway. Kandra treats Rosie like part of their family.

My two huskies had a great time there! They were exhausted when I picked them up which is a great thing!
