I currently work from home with my 3 shih tzu pups, so I will have the flexibility to make sure your pup is a priority and the availability to communicate throughly when needed. Flexible for changes. I want you to feel comfortable while you’re away. I know how stressful it can be leaving your loved one. As you can see from my photos my husband and I take our pups everywhere - I feel anxious when I have to leave them with someone else and really only have a select few I feel I can trust. I want to be that for you.

I have no issue using your dogs known words or commands, or if they have any special needs / dietary restrictions, habits / tendencies, where they like to sleep etc - just make me a list or tell me and I will make a list. I am very good with directions and absolutely here to make your pup feel like part of the family while you’re gone.
A typical day
Porch breeze lounging, free roam of my house whenever they feel comfortable, back of couch looking out the window or on the fully screened porch nature watching. Walks through the trees and even possibly down to the creek, weather permitting.

Pet care experience
My 3 pups are my world. I have a 4yr old teacup shih tzu, a 6year old shih tzu and a 14yr old shih tzu. I understand pets at all stages of life. I specialize in small breed but I have cared for all (including cats, goats, chickens and pigs). I am comfortable administering meds as I’ve done it for my senior. I have no issue with special needs pups as my mini required a lot of special specific care through puppy stage and still in day to day life. I’m comfortable with doggie diapers, crates, litter boxes/robots, leash aggression, playpens, securing halters, multiple dogs on walks, “accidents” etc You will relax and feel comfortable while you’re away knowing I will make sure your baby is safe and well taken care of whether it’s within my house or I am visiting yours. I communicate very thoroughly and seek answers and information when needed. I am able to make good judgment calls as well as capable & equipped to figure out the unexpected. :) I live in a “tiny home” on property - I have doggie steps to get on the couch / bed - my pups have an outdoor deck to hang out and play on as well as an outdoor fully doggie fenced in play area to run and tons of toys and doggie beds. Extremely dog friendly home.

My first experience with Kandace was awesome. She was able to accommodate very short notice, less than two days, for longer than a week of care. All of my fur clan warmed up to her instantly, especially the doggie. I don't have an attached yard so the dog requires two walks a day and Kandace went above and beyond with the walks. She also knew when Arti needed a break to just relax and hang out. All of the cats' litter was well kept and my place was exactly how I left it. I highly recommend Kandace and hope to use her for future trips.
Kandace loves animals more than people and that’s the kind of pet sitter you want. She is amazing with all of my animals and treats them like they are her own. She’s smart, has the kind of disposition that makes animals feel comfortable right away and (the best part) extremely trustworthy. And if you don’t believe me, just watch how your animals react to her and you’ll have no doubt that every word I’ve said is true. My pets adore her, as do I. Highly recommend!!!
Kandace is the most amazing pet caregiver that has such a passion for caring of other peoples fur animals ! She is someone who is absolutely reliable and trustworthy to care for your fur baby’s no hesitation . 💕
Kandace took really good care of our Simba, and was extremely responsive. Simba enjoyed the stay, and seemed to like the company of the dogs as well
