My day starts bright and early around 3 a.m. because I'm up early for work. I let Xander out for a quick potty break, then I get myself ready for the day, making sure his food and water bowls are topped off. Before heading out the door, I give my cat Lana a quick check-in, making sure she's doing okay. We grab some treats and squeeze in a 30-minute walk. Since my job allows me off at 1, my evenings are reserved for child and pet care. After my day is done, I make sure to dedicate an hour to a longer walk with Xander as soon as I get home. In the evenings, Lana and I unwind on the couch or in my room. I feed them both at the same time. Since I have a set schedule, Xander, Lana, and I all thrive on the routines we've established!

Okay, so with Xander being a husky, walks are a MUST. I mean, this guy was born to run, or at least trot around the neighborhood like he owns the place. We hit the trails and let him explore all the scents. And you know how huskies are – always gotta be chatting! So, yeah, I talk to him. I tell him about my day, ask him about his, you know, the usual. He mostly responds with head tilts and the occasional "Awoo," but I swear he understands me. And then there's the ball. Simple, but he goes nuts for it. We can spend a solid hour in the park, me throwing the ball, and him bringing it back like it's the most important job in the world. He's a husky, so he's got endless energy, but those walks, talks, and ball games? That's what makes him happy.
