I am dog lover without a dog! I have always had dogs in my life through family and friends. During lockdown I worked from home and nearly every day of the week I was looking after a dog. Including Leo, who I have been looking after since he was 6 months old.! He is now 3, very accustomed to life at kamals and has built up lots of friendships with the dogs that have come here. During Leo’s early months I followed a training programme. I’m more than happy to do the same with your pup. I am fully licensed with Edinburgh city council, have liability insurance and live in close proximity to a vet who I am registered with and never had to use!! I have had the luxury of having some really friendly dogs who can’t wait to see which one of their pals is here when they are visiting.

Couldn’t recommend Kamal highly enough! My partner and I both work from home, and our pup Peggy had never really spent much time with anyone outside of friends and family. Kamal was amazing with her, and she had the best time! We loved receiving the regular updates and seeing Peggy make some new furry friends along the way. It honestly put our minds at ease knowing she was so happy and well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kamal and will definitely be reaching out again in the future. Thank you!
Kamal is a fantastic sitter who took a great care of my little guy. He took time to introduce my dog to the new environment, and facilitated the intros with the other doggies currently staying with him. Throughout the stay, Kamal kept us updated with pictures and videos, which made it clear that my pup is enjoying his stay to the max. As a bonus, Kamal's homemade liver cake that he packed for us to take home too are to die for, or at least that's what I heard from my guy! Overall, I can recommend Kamal to anyone looking for a sitter, as he provides top class service for all the dogs!
We would highly recommend Kamal to look after your beloved dogs. Kamal is very welcoming from the start and took care of Bailey and Oscar as if they were his own. Gave them treats and dinner. Updated us throughout with photos and videos for reassurance on WhatsApp. Thank you very much! We were able to explore Edinburgh in leisure without worrying about how they were getting on. Kamal was brilliant sent us loads of updates and photos with how our dog was getting on and sent him home with some homemade liver cake which he was very pleased with. Would thoroughly recommend kamal and will definitely use him in the future.
Great from start to finish! Took Rio in very last minute for a few hours, he kept us updated with messages and photos the whole time so we didn’t have to worry. Even left with some homemade liver cake for Rio, highly recommend if your in Edinburgh 😊
Kamal was fantastic: excellent communication, thorough and attentive and realky well organised. He provided Shadow with everything she needed and more. He obviously loves dogs and has great knowledge and sensitivity in caring for them. Absolutely recommended.

Schedule
I have a hybrid working pattern which involves 2 office days. A Tuesday, and normally a Thursday. I can alter the Thursday if needed :)

Safety, trust & environment
I have an extremely dog proof home, in a basement of a tenement building. There are dog beds in every room, along with water, and enough toys/balls/chew sticks to keep your dog entertained during my telephone appointments. Your dog will be able to roam my house (if you allow) and also have access to all the furniture. The kitchen doors will remain closed of course. There is a window seat in the living room perfect for squirrel watching. My enclosed garden is filled with balls, frisbees and sticks, and can be accessed via my window or through a back door. There is also a gate in the stair to prevent any escapees (not that they would want too). I live 5 mins away from Lochend park which Is amazing for dogs. Plenty of friends for your dog to play with. Hidden pathways and woodland areas for your dog to lead the way! Big grassy areas perfect for throwing the ball ⚽️ 🐾 There is a 5k railway pathway next to me perfect for off lead walking. This pathway can lead us to the beach if we want it too 🏝️ 🐾 In short, whether I am working from home or at the weekends or in the evenings when I’m free, your dog will love it here. They are the focus of my attention and may not want to leave haha :) I’ll send you updates and pictures throughout their stay! A typical day
Working day - My day does involve telephone appointments between 9-5. Early morning walks around 7:30am for 45mins and back to mine for a play before I start work at 9. I have a nice big comfy chair for working which is big enough to share. Plenty of toys and balls to keep your dog entertained if they aren’t napping by then! A walk at lunch for around 30mins. When I finish work around 5:30 we are generally straight out for a walk before dinner. Then the fun and games commence If your dog is boarding, you can be assured of at least 60mins of walking a day (logged on Strava). I can reduce this if needed of course. Non working day - with me not having to work, it’s all about your dog. Plenty of fun and games, and likely a local adventure to Arthur seat or portobello

- Let me know if your dog has any special Needs. Are they in training? Do they have a strict diet/supplements? I can follow any training/dietary plans you have. I have everything needed to make your dogs stay comfortable. I Will endeavour to return in one piece haha I don’t have preferences for breeds at all. I will likely have some friendly dogs during their visit, if your dog is booked in and confirmed, they will be priority and I will inform you if any other dogs ask to stay. I will struggle to accommodate 121 boards unfortunately due to the regular dogs that visit during the week and weekends
