Schedule

I’m a nursing student, so pet care usually offers me the ability to focus and more freedom than most jobs to study, while I walk animals (I use headphones) or snuggle with them. Pet care also keeps me focused; I like to schedule my planning around the pets' needs, which prevents my procrastination.

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, I prefer to keep them near me; I have three dog beds: one that my dog likes to use, and two expensive giant ones that I wasted my money on because my dog has never touched them (🙃 I guess I can put the beds to use now, lol). In a client's home, I usually stay on the couch with them while I write notes (if that’s allowed). If the dog is extremely clingy, I try to stay in proximity

Go to the dog park (with the owners permission), one hour walks (if the dog is high energy), setting up puzzles, and toys filled with treats
