What we do to ensure your pup is safe with us: - Clean home environment - Large secure yard (NEW FENCE INSTALLED!! 6’ PVC as of June 2026) - Response within minutes with photos upon request at any time throughout the stay - Multiple areas to decompress including a large couch, 2 recliners, 3 floor beds, tile, rugs, memory foam mats, an open pen, and a crate - Doggy gates set up blocking the kitchen and hallway to bathrooms/bedrooms to limit access in order to keep pups in a safe environment - Sailor (our 1 year old Labrador Retriever) is up to date on vaccinations and taking Simparica Trio to protect against ticks, fleas, and worms, her records are available to view upon request - Basic pet first aid knowledge and materials in home - Over 10 vet offices within a 3 mile radius in case of an emergency

To provide the best experience for each dog, I like to know a few things in advance: - Age, breed, and typical energy level - Current daily routine (feeding, potty, exercise schedule) - Any training they are currently working on - How they behave on leash and indoors - Comfort level around other dogs and new environments - Any behaviors I should be aware of (separation anxiety, reactivity, etc.) Our Labrador Retriever, Sailor, adapts to pups of various ages and temperaments but does exceptionally well with young, friendly, and active pups with moderate to high energy levels.
A typical day
What your pup can expect: - Morning potty breaks and yard time to start the day - Play sessions with us, our Labrador, or toys to safely release energy - Training reinforcement if requested (basic obedience, only reinforcing good behaviors they have already learned) - Rest periods throughout the day to prevent overstimulation - Evening wind-down with light activity and settling time

As a Labrador mom myself, I know young retrievers come with a lot of energy, big personalities, and even bigger hearts… that’s what I love most about them. I have experience caring for dogs of various ages, breeds, and temperaments, but I especially love working with the raptor landshark puppies and moderate to high energy young adult dogs. Our lab, Sailor, will adapt to any dog but if she could have it her way, she would want an all day game of catch me if you can with your dog. Whether your pup wants nonstop playtime, extra cuddles, or just someone who understands the retriever chaos, I’ll care for them like they’re my own while keeping you updated with plenty of photos and videos for peace of mind. My hope is that your dog leaves with a wagging tail, happy memories, and excitement to come back to The Retriever’s Retreat again! DAYCARE: Each visit includes a complimentary Polaroid keepsake of your pup to take home, along with a digital Rover report card featuring photos and details from their day. BOARDING: Stay 2+ nights and receive a complimentary gift (up to $5 value), with options including toys, chews, and accessories. This was my first boarding experience for my 1 1/2 year old doggo. I was nervous and she was nervous. I needed more than a boarding option, I needed a family to care for my dog while I had to be out of town. That is what Kallee and Daniel provided, a family that loved her while I was gone. They went beyond what a boarding facility could offer and personally cared for my dog while she went through separation anxiety and missing her family. Sailor became the older sibling she needed and I received not only daily communication but updates and responses as I was going through my own separation issues from her. I couldn't have asked for a better home for my dog to be in while I was away. Their home is a perfect place for an active dog and they are the perfect family to care for an energetic dog especially one who needs support to come out of her shell while her family is away. I couldn't thank them enough for their care for my doggo.
The best babysitter in Orlando hands down ! Gave me updates every time and gave me peace of mind while on vacation. So many photos and great with me changing times very often do to unexpected vacation I was on. One thousand percent I’ll be booking again in the next couple months. The best again like I said in Orlando with so much experience and understanding thank you

Our GSD pup had a sleepover with them and the time of his life with Sailor. We had peace of mind knowing he was being extremely well cared for and looked after!
