Small & senior dog fluent
I have the utmost respect for life in all forms. Years experience volunteering in wildlife rehabilitation and fostering animals. Grew up training dogs and target training chickens and fish. I have my own senior dog, so I am well versed in senior dog care. I have a gift for observation and notice the little things and differences in behavior and health. Always excited to care for new furry friends :) Price is set for small dogs only, will consider medium to large dogs on case by case basis with extra charge, low to medium energy. I am unfortunately unable to service high energy dogs. Poo bags will be additional charge if you do not bring your own supplies.

Kalikonani is a lovely young lady who kindly cares for her dog and another small, older dog. She asked several questions before accepting the booking to be sure it would be a comfortable and safe environment for those (charming) dogs and mine. She gave me a detailed account of the entire time my dog was there with several photos. I would definitely book her again if I lived in the area or if I visit again.
My dog, Beau absolutely loved kalikonani!! She was great in teaching him how to walk properly, she gave us an update every other hour. Worked with us and had great communication with her. Will absolutely continue my bookings with her for any future opportunities. Me and my wife had constant communication and the meet a greet went smoothly! Love love love and Beau loved it more!💙🐾
Kalikonani was exceptional with my little baby girl, I was very pleased that she had a tiny little fur baby herself and my dog Machi was able to have someone to keep her company and snuggle with. Kalikonani also had a yard so she could sun bath and play outside when it was nice. If I come back to do work on the base in Monterey I will use her again, my pup had such a fun time it was a mini vacation for her!
My dog was happy and well taken care of while boarding with Kalikonani.
This was my second time using Rover so there’s still some hesitation on my part. However, Kalikonani was amazing! I have a senior dog so knowing that she had a senior pup of her own, made me feel relieved that she’d understand my dog. She provided pics, updates, and was a great communicator. I definitely recommend her and will be booking with her again in the future :)
Kalikonani loves animals ever since she was a little girl. She would bring home baby rabbits that her dog found and make little habitats for them with shelter, water and food. She still loves animals today. She is such a loving and caring mom to her little dog, who has had surgery on her broken leg. She made sure she did all of her recovery exercise and doctors visits. Her dog's leg healed with care and diet only because Kalikonani was diligent and conscientious about her dog's care. She is a very loving and caring person and would take great care of your pet.

Schedule
I work from home and care for my senior dog. The animals I choose to care for are my priority, daily/weekly routine can fluctuate due to the specific needs of each pet.

I have a fenced yard with lots of sun that when possible I sit and soak the heat in with my fur baby. Plenty of sun indoors too for those that enjoy to sunbathe. I keep a good schedule and routine to keep consistency and trust. Walks and stimulation to keep anxiety down, and dedicated one on one time playing games or doing tricks to build a confident relationship with me and your pet.
