Care from a lifelong animal lover!
I grew up with all kinds of animals from dogs to horses to birds. As a kid I went to SPCA summer camps, and as an adult I have volunteered with animal rescues locally, in the US, Thailand, and Bali. I've also volunteered in local animal-assisted therapy programs, and fostered cats & dogs for several rescues. I'm a detailed oriented person and very much understand the worry of leaving your precious friend in the hands of someone new. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfy and well taken care of. Pick/up & drop/off times are 5-8pm on week days, and to be discussed on weekends. If you need a time outside of this new window, please reach out - I may be able to accommodate your needs.

Kali was able to help us out at the last minute. She took amazing care of our little guy and handled his separation anxiety really well.
Kali was absolutely amazing with my dog Sophie. Sophie has had some mobility issues in her older years, and she's also had a lot of separation anxiety, so I was extremely nervous at the idea of leaving her with a sitter. But then I found Kali, and she was just wonderful! From the very beginning she listened (very patiently) to all of my concerns, and she went out of her way to really get to know Sophie and her needs, which meant the world to me. She kept me updated the whole time too, so I felt totally at ease knowing Sophie was safe and happy and having a great time. I didn't know if I could ever find a sitter that I trusted that implicitly until I found Kali. She's great with dogs, a great communicator, and a very kind person too. I can't recommend her enough!
Kali is absolutely incredible with animals. From personal life to business life, she has fostered and cared for dogs, volunteered at countless shelters and establishments, working with PEACE, BAWA in Bali, Soi Dog Thailand, etc. Kali travels the world to volunteer and help dogs in need. If anyone is going to be a loving, safe, and fun caregiver for your dogs, it will be Kali.
Kali has been caring for my cats and dogs for many years, her obvious compassion and love for animals shines through whenever she is around our pets. I have had challenging special needs dogs, an elderly cat, and a reactive pup. All of these situations Kali handled with ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her for your four legged friend.
Kali has cared for my pets many times — from dogs and cats to even horses — and I trust her completely. She has a natural way with animals, and every one of mine has adored her. They’re always excited to see her again, which says it all!

Schedule
I work an 8am to 3pm office job, and I live in an apartment above the business. So I can let your dog out during work hours, hang out with them during my lunch break, and - if they’re comfy hanging with the other office dog - I can even bring them to work with me for part of the day. After work, I love going for walks, and there are some great parks/trails within a 10 minute drive. For the less active pets, I’m happy to hang out together - my main hobby is writing, which can be done alongside a pet I’m keeping company!

Safety, trust & environment
I live an apartment with no yard, as the building is in an industrial area. I have a strip of grass in front of & beside the office building for potty breaks, and a paved walking path within walking distance. For the bigger daily walk, I like to drive to one of the nearby parks (all within around a 10m drive). I’ve included a couple picture of my favourite spot. For car rides, I have dog seat belts and a cover to help prevent slipping around. If you’d prefer, I can also use your crate, so long as it fits in a Mazda hatchback :). If you'd prefer no car rides, our walking options are more limited, though there's a paved walking path nearby. Other than that it would be mostly sidewalks. ** I also want to note there are large, steep stairs up to my apartment, so dogs need to either be comfy being carried, or OK to climb up them. Please let me know if you’d like a picture of the stairs or any other details. I've included a few pictures of the inside of my apartment in the photo section. If your dog or cat has a bed or crate, I would love for you to bring that with them, though I do have a bed and some toys if needed.
A typical day
I want to match each pet’s personality and energy level. I’m an early riser, but respect those pets who like to sleep in! Daily activities depend on the pet’s preferences. For the more active dogs, I love tiring them out at the park on a long walk and some play time. For the cats and less energetic dogs, I’m happy to be a homebody and just hang out together. Outside of office hours, your pet will never be left alone for longer than 1-2 hours. My goal is to make sure they feel loved on, engaged, and as relaxed as possible while their family is away. You will receive as many pictures & updates as you would prefer!
