Hi- my name is Kaley, and I am a professional stage director working mostly in opera. I travel full time all around the country working for various opera companies, and it is a really exciting job! I often have a strange schedule with extended time off or weird intervals between contracts and I thought becoming a pet sitter would be a great way to fill those gaps! I wanted to join Rover because I miss being around dogs- we always had at least two dogs at a time while I was growing up, and I was the primary care-giver (feeding, walking, brushing, etc.) for our pets until I left for college. When I am home I still take our 3(!) mastiffs out on walks- which is always fun and they love it! I have also taken care of my sister's rescue terrier Perry, who still struggles with fear aggression issues, but we have all learned how to make him feel comfortable and he has come a long way from when he was first adopted! I am comfortable with all breeds and sizes of dogs, so I am not intimidated by larger dogs or "pit bull" mixes. Our mastiffs (1 Cane Corso and 2 English Mastiffs) are all over 100lbs, so I am not intimidated by larger dogs! I am also very active, I am an avid runner and usually run for 5-8 miles at a time, so I love longer walks if your pup needs to get out of the house! I am also very comfortable just hanging out with dogs and am happy to come visit your furry friend and house sit anytime!

I am very committed to taking amazing care of your pets. I act as if they were my own (and I have had many dogs and a cat over the years!) so I love on all the animals and really enjoy taking good care of them.

Kaley came to our rescue on very very short notice. My cat LOVES Kaley & always looks so content and blissed out in her care.
My kitty immediately fell for Kaley, who sent lots of updates & sweet pictures throughout the in-home stay. Will happily have Kaley sit for us again. Great communication & my house was nice and clean upon my return. Thank you!

Kaley was amazing! Our plans were last minute and we were also delayed and she kindly accommodated. Our kitten was still scared of people and we left him alone and she managed to bond with him so quickly and always kept us updated with pictured and videos. This was our first time using Rover and she definitely made us comfortable

Schedule
I am new to the area and working part time at Oberlin, so I am mostly taking cat care appointments at this time, as I am not always available for dog sitting! I care very much about the pets I watch and don’t want to commit to taking care of your sweet puppies when I wouldn’t be able to give 100% of my focus to them.
