Availability
I am not currently taking on any new clients for repeating weekly walks, but if you need an extra person around for potential last minute walks, I might be right for you. I have a part time day job with and inconsistent schedule, but I am often available for walking and drop ins most week days, with variable availability on weekends. I typically only do drop-ins for cats, but if you have an enclosed yard for your dog then we can discuss it. Apologies, but I tend not to book reoccurring walks more than a 10-15 minute drive from where I live, as it doesn't make fiscal sense for me. Additionally, I will consider house sitting jobs more than 30 minutes from me, but we would have to negotiate a reasonable rate for the extra distance traveled.

Safety, trust & environment
Most animals appreciate my calm and quiet demeanor, and my willingness to play and cuddle with them. I am happy to send you regular photo updates of your pet. I also have experience administering pills, insulin shots, ear drops, and puffers should your pets require those. I have a car which I am able to use to transport your pets if needed (whether it be for fun or in the case of an emergency), and I am very familiar with many of the parks and trails in the area. Unfortunately, I am not currently able to offer care in my own home, because my cat would not tolerate it.
Information Kaleigh S. would like to know about your pet
It's important for me to know your pet's schedule and habits, how much food they get how often, any medications/allergies, when they typically exercise or go out, morning/bedtime routines, etc. We don't want this experience to be too disruptive for them! I need to know about behavioral issues ahead of time. Examples of those could be: reactivity to other animals, fear of bicycles, dislike of car rides, etc. It's also handy for me to know the verbal commands or hand signals that you use with your pet so I can communicate with them effectively! It is also good for me to have their vet contact, especially if I'm sitting. And most importantly, of course, I'd love to know their favourite things :)
A typical day
I like to take dogs on long walks where they can get some good sniffing in, and play with them in enclosed areas (if possible) where they can really run (if they need it). I like to play fetch and tug. Drilling tricks can be fun too, for the right pet! And then once everyone is worn out I'm always up for a good snuggle. I play with cats too, especially if they have a favourite toy or treat!

Pet care experience
I recently moved here from New Brunswick, where I have had several pet and house sitting clients for many years. I have extended experience with cats and dogs, but have also cared for fish, rats, hamsters, ducks, rabbits, and even chickens! I have some experience living with and training puppies, and if provided with an overview of your training approach and/or commands, I will happily reinforce what you have been working on. I also specifically have experience caring for hairless cats. I look forward to meeting you and your pets, and creating lasting and dependable working relationships!
