When I care for pets, I love to make their time fun and comforting! With dogs, I enjoy taking them on walks, playing games like fetch or tug-of-war, and offering cuddle time if they enjoy affection. For cats, I use toys like laser pointers or feather wands and make sure they have cozy spots to relax. I also try to make feeding times enjoyable — with treat puzzles or slow feeders if the owner allows. Before watching any pet, it’s really important for me to know their personality, routine, health needs, and what they like or dislike — including food allergies, energy level, or any behavioral quirks. That way, I can give them the best care possible and make sure they feel safe, happy, and at home.
A typical day
When I watch pets, I love to keep them happy, healthy, and entertained! For dogs, I enjoy taking them on walks, playing fetch or tug-of-war, and giving them lots of cuddles and attention. I also like to do simple training games or puzzle toys that keep them mentally stimulated. If they enjoy it, I can give them tasty treats (with owner permission, of course!) and make mealtimes fun with slow feeders or treat-dispensing toys. For cats, I love using feather toys, laser pointers, and interactive play. I’ll also make sure they have cozy spots to relax, and I’ll keep their feeding routine consistent while giving them any treats they’re allowed. Every pet is different, so I always pay attention to what they enjoy most and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for!

I’ve been taking care of my brother’s dogs for over 4 years, handling daily walks, feeding, playtime, and overnight stays. I also helped care for my mom’s friend’s dog when I was younger, which taught me early on how to be responsible and patient with pets. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away.
