I have extensive hands-on experience working with dogs of all ages, personalities, and behavioral needs. I studied canine psychology and behavior under certified behaviorists and professional certified trainers in Portland, Maine, with a focus on understanding canine communication, behavior, enrichment, and positive-reinforcement training. I previously owned and operated a pet care business in Portland, Maine, specializing in canine enrichment, individualized socialization, and overnight pet sitting. Much of my work focused on dogs who were not a good fit for traditional boarding facilities or standard pet-sitting environments, including dogs with higher energy levels, behavioral challenges, or unique individual needs. My approach is centered on creating a safe, structured, and comfortable environment while taking the time to understand each dog's individual personality and needs. I believe dogs thrive when their physical, mental, and emotional needs are properly met.
