**I will be unavailable August 7-23. I am currently booking into September! Thanks for your patience on slow responses while I am away** I'm a life-long dog owner and have had cats much of my life. Years of volunteering at animal shelters has given me real, hands-on confidence with all kinds of animals and temperaments, from reactive or nervous/anxious ones who need a calm, patient hand, to high-energy working breeds. I have advanced training for working with dogs with behavior challenges, training protocols, dog and cat body language, and I am currently in the process of getting certified in pet first aid and CPR. I'm comfortable administering medication, managing mobility limitations, special needs, and the kind of quirks that make pet parents nervous to leave instructions for a new sitter. I’m also experienced in reinforcement-based training as well as walking/training tools (halti, prong, e-collar). No matter the animal (even birds, fish or others), the basics stay the same: sticking to their routine, and sending updates and check-ins so you're never wondering how things are going. Your pet is in calm, capable hands.

Safety, trust & environment
For walks and drop-ins, I keep things low-key: familiar environment, familiar routine, minimal disruption to their day. For house sitting, I stay in your home and keep your pet's routine exactly as you left it. I treat your space with the same care I'd want someone to treat mine. Got a weird routine, like needing to fake a 5-star meal, or finding the perfect blade of grass for a potty break? Tell me about it, I'll make it happen.

Kal did an amazing job watching Sarge and Lyla. She was very attentive and sent many great updates. Having dogs that are uneasy with strangers it can be nerve racking to leave them with a sitter. Kal was such a great help with our cat and dog while we were on vacation - she took our dog out twice a day and helped feed both of them. I really appreciated how she took our goldendoodles nuances in stride and adjusted the walks during the high heat index.
Kal has been a dream come true—I cannot praise her highly enough. My cats are very shy and can be anxious when I’m not around. Kal went above and beyond to meet them at their comfort level and help them feel secure. For the first time in their five years of life, they actually came out to interact with a sitter. That’s the kind of energy Kal has. From booking through sitting, she has been extremely thorough, detail oriented, and easy to communicate with. Kal was great! She came and got the dogs from our hotel which was a huge help. She did a good job walking them and feeding them for us. She worked with our schedule to meet up prior to her coming to take them out. I highly recommend Kal!
Kal was great with our 12 yr old dog, Rocky. Kal made herself available for our last minute needs, sent lots of beautiful photos and was very communicative. She made sure to follow Rocky’s routine and went above and beyond to make sure he went potty before going to bed and after breakfast. Rocky threw up a little bit and she made sure to clean it up. Kal, I can’t thank you enough for taking care of Rocky like your own. We will definitely be recommending you and booking you again ! THANK YOU 🙏

Schedule
I am available for morning and evening walks and drop-ins, and midday as my schedule allows during the week, with a flexible weekend. I’m also available for house sitting. Have needs outside of this? Let’s talk! If the travel distance exceeds my daily service range, additional fees may apply.
