My brother has a Doberman and a Pomeranian. Two very different dogs, same house, both happy. That’s kind of where I learned that every dog needs something different, and the job is just figuring out what that is. I’m a grad student at GU so I’m mostly available during weekends or weekdays after 4pm. Walks are calm and sniff-friendly, not a workout for me with your dog dragged along. I’ll feed, I’ll hang out, I’ll send you pictures of what they’re up to. If something feels off I’ll let you know instead of pretending everything is fine. I’m most comfortable with dogs that are fairly calm and leash-trained. Big or small doesn’t matter :)

With cats, the day is often quiet and easy. I clean the litter box, feed them, and spend time with them in whatever way they’re comfortable with. Some cats want to play, some just want company, and some prefer to keep their distance, and that’s completely fine! I let them set the pace. If they enjoy toys, brushing, or cuddles, we’ll do that. If they just want someone around while they nap, I’m happy to sit nearby. For dogs, daytime care usually includes feeding, company, and a walk that suits their energy level. I’m most comfortable with calm and well-behaved dogs, and I prefer relaxed walks rather than anything too intense. Depending on the dog, this could be a gentle walk around the area, some sniffing time etc. I’m also more than happy to send a few updates or photos so owners can see how things are

So happy that I had karima to house sit my cats betu and babu. One of the previous booked sitter cancelled one month ahead of my trip and karima was available for this house sitting. This was my second booking which was 7-8days with karima. As before she followed care instructions I provided for the apartment and for the cats. My cats are special and need extra brushing (needy male cat), rubbing water over them during summer, food routine. She also made modifications to their food plan when sensible. My cats are choosy eaters hehe. Karima was open minded about extra requests I had during my vacation, for eg, playing with the cats with their new toy , watering my plants, placing babu on his litter box so he doesnt pee outside. On my return from vacation, the cats seemed to be normal, not too needy or independent, unlike when i had previous sitter , as karima had their wishes fulfilled by keeping them busy, which did not make the cats to miss me. Karima kept me updated with pictures and videos of the cats while they were playing with their toys and bird watching. This ensured me as a cat parent that the kitties were living usual lives even tho I wasn't with them. Karima completed her booking by leaving the apartment clean and tidy (which wasn't a requirement from my side). However it made us happy :)
Kaiyoumu did a fantastic job taking care of my dog! She was very communicative and accommodating.
Kaiyoumu took care of betu and babu when I was away for midsummer. She gave us regular updates but messages and pictures. She followed the instructions of the cats wellbeing just as we described her. I would definitely request her again for upcoming bookings.

Karima took good care of my cats and helped out cleaning when they messed around! She is a trustable sitter and I could see that my cats liked her immediately. Highly recommended.

Schedule
As a graduate student, I’m most available on weekends and holidays. Spending time with animals is genuinely how I unwind, it’s less of a job and more of something I look forward :D
