I have the most availability for training sessions on weeknight afternoons/evenings as I do have a full time job but I can sometimes make daytime work. I can also make weekends work as needed for sessions. I am not typically available on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Information Kaity P. would like to know about your pet
I am open to all breeds. Couch potatoes to high drive. 1lb to 300lbs. Brand new puppy to senior. I really love working with puppies! I also specialize in taking care of older dogs and dogs that have had a recent surgery. I am very aware of how to handle those situations and pride myself in keeping wounds clean and keeping a close eye on them to make sure there are no bad changes to their health. I like to know their daily routine so I can make sure the transition isn't too different than what they are used to. I also like to know if they are allowed on the furniture and any other rules you might have in place so I can make sure I stick to those same rules with them. Being a dog trainer I am happy to make sure house rules are enforced so you don't return home to a dog who has developed bad habits. I also like to know if they have any food allergies so I can be careful with what treats I bring with me and their normal feeding schedule. Do they gulp food or do they like to graze throughout the day? I want your dog to be as happy as possible during our time together so the more I know the better!
A typical day
If your pet enjoys it, we will do it! Walks? Fetch? Lounging on the couch getting snuggles? I am happy to go on adventure hikes or take it easy and play in the yard. I want to know what they enjoy so we can do those things together to bond.

Hello! I'm Kaity and I have 20+ years of professional dog training experience. I used to work inside the Federal Prisons in Minnesota teaching inmates how to raise and train service dogs for a local non-profit. I have was also the General Manager at a local pet food store where I educated pet parents daily about nutrition, care and everything in-between. Dogs are my true passion in life. I majored in Animal Science in college and went through a dog training school in North Carolina so I know all about how to handle your pets and make sure they are comfortable in my care. I own a border collie and a golden retriever who keep me on my toes. Dog training is something I no longer do full time as a career so I love being able to offer it to those that need it. I love working with puppies and teaching good habits and behaviors. I have taught dog training classes for over 10 years and enjoy one on one sessions so much more than a big class format so we can focus on exactly what your pup needs. I offer in person training sessions, virtual sessions, outings, as well as drop in training sessions where I work with your dog even if you aren't at home.
