Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets in my client's home the same way I care for my own—by being intentional, flexible, and tuned into their needs. I plan their day around the weather and our household routine to make sure they get the right balance of exercise, rest, and attention. For example, if I know we’ll be out for dinner, I make sure my puppy gets plenty of playtime earlier in the day so he’s relaxed and ready to rest while we’re away. On hot days, I shift our schedule to enjoy cooler morning hours outside before the heat sets in. Every pet in my care is treated like family, with thoughtful adjustments made to keep them comfortable, safe, and happy.

Commands they know (“sit,” “leave it,” etc.) Gear used (harness, collar, special leash?) Feeding/water needs (before or after walk?) Social preferences (okay around other dogs?) Emergency info (vet, contact, microchip?) Pick-up instructions (where’s leash, how to enter?

A typical day

Each day as a dog walker starts with checking my schedule and mapping out routes to make sure every pup gets the time and attention they deserve. I usually begin with early morning walks, especially in warmer months, to beat the heat and give dogs a refreshing start to their day. Throughout the day, I visit clients' homes to walk their dogs, offering them not just exercise but also mental stimulation and companionship. I tailor each walk to the dog’s needs—some enjoy a fast-paced walk, while others prefer a slower, sniff-filled stroll. I always bring water, treats (with owner permission), and plenty of affection. In between walks, I check in with pet parents with updates and photos so they know how their pup is doing. I also work in playtime, feeding, or medication if needed. My flexible schedule allows me to adapt to last-minute requests or changes in weather, ensuring every dog is comfortable, cared for, and happy. Whether it’s a quick potty break or a long adventure, my goal is to make every walk safe, fun, and something your dog looks forward to!

Kaitlynn was wonderful! She fit us in last minute and made everything so easy. Our dogs loved her right away, and she kept us updated with cute pictures. She was super communicative the whole time and gave us total peace of mind. We’ll definitely be booking with her again—highly recommend!
