Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I’ve had cats my whole life and also have professional experience working with dogs as a trainer, walker, and bather, so I’m comfortable handling pets with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m used to planning my schedule around feeding times, walks, playtime, check-ins, and giving pets plenty of attention and companionship. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and providing reliable, attentive care so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you are away!

Safety, trust & environment

I provide pet care through drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting in the client’s home. I follow each pet’s routine closely to help them feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. I take time to learn each pet’s needs, including feeding, exercise, medications, and behaviour. During walks and visits, pets are always supervised and kept safely secured. When staying in a client’s home, I maintain a clean, respectful, and safe environment while providing regular updates and communication. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care and build trust with both pets and their owners.

Information Kaitlyn M. would like to know about your pet

While working at a boarding facility, I have had experience with all different kinds of breeds, sizes and temperaments of dogs. That saying, I tend to have a soft spot for larger dogs, as I feel like they have the biggest hearts. I must say there is something to be said about the sass and attitude dished out from a husky, but I love it. Preferably before pet sitting, it is important that I have an idea of; - Your dog's temperament/personality when it comes to meeting new people (Timid, Excited, Protective, etc.) - Any medications or allergies that your pet may have - Any sort of trigger that causes an emotional reaction negatively to the pet (i.e. thunderstorms, aggression towards certain dog breeds or genders, past trauma, quick movement, etc.) - Their favourite activity to do, so we can do it of course! - Your pets energy level, from 1-10. (I can snuggle up on a couch or go for a run! whatever makes their tail wag! Lastly, if you would like frequent photo updates of your pet, I'd love to send you updates.

A typical day

Depending on each pet owner’s comfort level, there are many public trails near where I live, ranging from short 1–2 km walks to longer 25 km trails. Also happy to take a normal walk in the neighbourhood so everything stays familiar, or bring them to my fully fenced in backyard to run around freely.

Pet care experience

Hello there! My name is Kaitlyn and I'm here because I'll probably fall in love with your furry friends. Throughout my childhood, I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats. I wanted to take a step further so I began working at a boarding/daycare facility. After working at this daycare for over a year, I gained plenty of knowledge into understanding behaviour and temperament of dogs. Some of this knowledge includes; observing body language and cues to understand your pets temperament, knowing when to intervene when necessary, how to mentally and physically stimulate in fun ways for your pet and truly understanding your furry child to create a trustworthy relationship. I've learned that not one dog is like another, they all have different ways of communicating their needs. That is exactly where it falls into my hands to be able to determine how I can best communicate with your furry friend. With Rover, I want nothing more than to be able to give your pet the tender love and care you wish you were able to give them when you just don't have the time.

Katie is my #1 go to sitter, I recommend her to everyone! She is so attentive and truly has a passion for animals! I’ve left my puppy and diabetic cat with her while on vacation for two weeks and she kept us updated the whole time, and treated them as if they were her own. She has time and time again blown me away with her dedication and kind heart.
