Pet care experience
Vet-Experienced Pet Care 🐾
What sets me apart is my professional veterinary background combined with a lifetime of hands-on animal experience. I grew up on a farm caring for livestock, which gave me an early understanding of animal behavior, responsibility, and the importance of attentive daily care. In addition to dogs and cats, I’m experienced with exotics and understand the specialized husbandry they require. I’m also confident supporting senior pets who need medication or mobility assistance, as well as juveniles who benefit from structure and close supervision. From recognizing subtle signs of illness to providing compassionate, individualized care, I offer not just love and companionship—but knowledgeable, safety-focused support tailored to every stage of life.

Safety, trust & environment
I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. During drop-in visits and walks, I follow your pet’s established schedule for feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, exercise, litter box maintenance, and enrichment. I tailor each visit to your pet’s age, temperament, and energy level — whether that means an active walk, structured playtime, or calm companionship. With my veterinary background, I closely monitor behavior, appetite, mobility, and overall wellness during every visit. I’m comfortable administering medications (oral, topical, or injectable if needed) and supporting senior pets, juveniles, or pets with medical needs. I also offer basic bathing and light grooming when requested. Clear communication is important to me, so I provide detailed updates and photos after each visit to ensure you feel confident and connected while you’re away. My goal is always low-stress, attentive, and professional care that prioritizes both safety and comfort
Ratings and reviews
Kaitlyn is truly the best when it comes to caring for my kitties. She treats them like they’re her own little babies, and that peace of mind is everything to me. She always sends the sweetest updates and pics, including the funny, chaotic, very on brand things they do. That lets me know they’re totally comfortable and happy with her (and my cats are picky about their people 😂). She’s also amazing when it comes to the not so fun parts of pet care: giving oral medication to a cat who absolutely does not want it! She handles it calmly and confidently. Her background at a vet hospital makes such a difference, I never have to worry about whether meds are being given correctly or safely. I truly recommend her to anyone who loves their fur babies and wants someone who will genuinely care for them like family. She’s the real deal. 💛
Katie is an amazing young lady. She loves my pets as I do. She goes above and beyond what I ask of her when taking care of my babies. I never worry when I have to go on trips and I know she is taking care of them. Even the shy ones come out and greet her. She sends me pictures and videos of them when I am gone. She is Auntie Katie. I trust her in my home and with my belongings. Not to mention with her vet office background I know she will be quick noticing if something is off with my babies. And if something is off with them, she will be able to help them or get them the help they need. She is an amazing young lady, great resource and caretaker. I love having her take care of my babies and what's more important is my babies love having her take care of them. (Approved by: AJ, Sophie, Phoenix, Ebony, LB, Lil-Man, Bean, Misty, MaMa, & Murphy)

Schedule
Pet care is already a central part of my daily routine. I currently work at an emergency veterinary clinic from 4pm–1am, which means my mornings and early afternoons are fully dedicated to my own pets and available for client visits, walks, and check-ins. My schedule allows me to provide consistent daytime care, medication administration, enrichment, and detailed updates before heading into work. At home, I care for two dogs and four cats, so structured feeding schedules, exercise, litter maintenance, and individualized attention are part of my everyday life. Working in emergency medicine has also strengthened my ability to recognize subtle changes in behavior or health and respond appropriately. Because animal care is both my profession and my lifestyle, incorporating client pets into my weekly routine feels natural, organized, and intentional — not rushed or secondary.
