Loving Pet Care (+Pro Photo!)

Experience: With over 14 years of experience caring for pets—whether my own or those of friends, family, and neighbors—I’ve developed a deep love and understanding for pets of all ages and personalities. From energetic puppies learning their first commands to senior dogs needing medication and extra TLC, I tailor each booking to meet your pet’s unique needs. While dogs are my specialty, I also care for cats and other animals, always providing the same level of patience, attentiveness, and affection. I truly love what I do and believe every pet deserves plenty of love, cuddles (when welcomed!), and individualized care at every visit. As a professional photographer, I also enjoy capturing your pet’s unique personality when the opportunity allows. For first-time bookings of 3+ nights, or four+ drop-in visits, I offer a complimentary professional-style photo of your pet as a special keepsake. Photos are always taken with your pet’s comfort in mind and are dependent on their temperament, willingness, and safety—some pets (especially cats!) prefer to admire the camera from afar, and that’s perfectly okay. Above all, my goal is to provide peace of mind, dependable care, and a little extra joy for both you and your furry (or scaly!) family member. ❗️ Important Policies: ❗️ To ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in my care, I ask that the following requirements are met before booking: 🐾 Vaccinations: All pets must be up to date on vaccinations, especially rabies. 🐾 Crate/Kennel Expectations: Puppies under 1 year old must be kennel trained. This also applies to any dog that may get into things when left unsupervised. Dogs should be calm, safe, and comfortable when kenneled. 🐾 Health Information: Please disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or medications your pet requires. 🐾 Emergency Care: Vet information is required prior to care. Please provide your primary veterinarian or a preferred emergency clinic in case of an emergency. I will take them to the nearest emergency vet if no preference is noted. 🐾 Drop ins that are outside my service area will incur a minimum $5 fee depending on distance traveled. 🐾 Kid-Friendly: I have a 6-year-old and may occasionally bring her along for drop-in visits. Please let me know if your pet has any specific reactions to children so I can ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable.

Kaitlyn did a great job watching our cat while we were out of town. She was communicative and even got our shy guy to come out for a few pets! Would recommend!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, even though it was a last minute ask. She did exactly what I needed her to do and also sent some adorable photos. I’ll use her again if I need someone to help me with Daisy!

Kaitlyn was an excellent dog sitter! Gave plenty of exercise, sent regular updates and took care of some mild skin and allergy issues right away! My dog can be a bit emotional when left with someone new but he became so comfortable with her and her dogs and I didn’t have to worry one bit!

Kaitlyn took excellent care of my senior basset hound Kai while I went on a 4-day trip. In his old age, he's pretty needy and required daily medications as well as patience with his anxiety! She kept me updated on his progress each day and sent a ton of photos, which I really appreciated. I would recommend Kaitlyn to anyone that worries about leaving their pet, because she is very attentive to their needs. Thank you!!

Schedule

I’m a professional photographer and stay-at-home mom, which allows me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to walk, feed, and spend quality time with your pet. Drop Ins/Walks: Most days, I’m available for visits between 8:15 AM–2:00 PM, and again from 3:30–7:00 PM. If you need care outside of these windows, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to chat and see what we can arrange. On occasion, I may need to bring my 6-year-old along for drop-in visits. I always prioritize your pet’s comfort and safety, and I appreciate pet parents keeping this in mind when booking. If your pet prefers a calm, adults-only environment, please let me know so we can determine whether we’re a good fit. Boarding: Drop off and pick up times can range anywhere from 7am-10pm. If you need a time outside of this window, an additional charge may apply. Please be respectful of my time during drop-off and pick-up. While I am home most of the time, I stay very busy as a mom and also have scheduled drop-ins and walks throughout the day. I may not always be able to wait if you are running late, so clear communication and accurate arrival times are very important. Please arrive at your scheduled time or let me know as soon as possible if anything changes.

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I have a fully fenced yard that provides a safe, secure space for supervised play and exercise. I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s routine—whether that includes crate time, daily walks, or sleeping in the same room to help them feel comfortable and settled. Because I have children and multiple clients, there may be times I step out for school drop-offs, activities, appointments, or other pet care visits. While I’m not home 24/7, I’m mindful of time away and do my best to limit alone time to no more than two hours whenever possible. When your pet is home, they’ll be in safe areas only, monitored by motion-activated cameras for added peace of mind. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely and respect your space and routines. My approach is always the same—patient, attentive, and focused on keeping your pet safe, comfortable, and stress-free.

Pets

A typical day

Every day with your pet is tailored to their energy level, personality, and individual needs. Mornings usually begin with outdoor time followed by feeding, and I’m very mindful about keeping activity levels low after meals to support healthy digestion and overall well-being. Throughout the day, I provide plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment. This can include playtime with favorite toys, basic training reinforcement if requested, or calm companionship for pets who prefer a slower pace. I follow your pet’s normal feeding, potty, and medication schedules closely and always keep an eye on their mood and behavior to ensure they’re comfortable and content. Evenings are all about winding down with relaxed time together—snuggling on the couch, quiet play, or a final walk before settling in for the night. You’ll receive at least one update with photos each day, typically sent in the evening, so you can feel connected and confident knowing how your pet is doing while you’re away.

Please feel free to share anything about your pet—no detail is too small! The more I know ahead of time, the better care I can provide. Helpful information includes daily routines, feeding schedules, medications, mobility concerns, and any behavioral quirks. Do they get overly excited when meeting new people, prefer slow introductions, or have specific triggers? Totally fine. I’m experienced with a wide range of personalities and needs and truly appreciate open communication. Favorite toys, comfort items, training cues, or calming routines are always welcome details and help me make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and at home from the very first visit.
