Pet care experience

Fear Free Certified Vet Assistant

*please message beforehand for longer shifts* I have taken care of animals as long as I can remember. I am a vet assistant at an emergency clinic. I work with cats and dogs of all temperaments (friendly to spicy). I love all fur babies, regardless of their size! *I am RECOVER CPR Certified and Fear Free Certified* I work full time and my schedule VARIES as I work in emergency veterinary medicine. I understand a pets stress level changed when their humans are away. I follow what directions I am given per an owner, so PLEASE be specific on your pets needs. I am comfortable walking dogs in apartment complexes or areas that do not have a yard to get daily stimulation and use the bathroom. I scoop litter boxes 1-2 times a day as needed. Animals that have access to a yard I will allow to have time outside (reasonable for temperatures during the day). I understand the importance of habitual medication administration and I am familiar with medications due to my job. I am comfortable with administering medications of various methods, understand food allergies, ect. I will send photos as frequently as an owner would like: every day, multiple times a day, every other day. Most of all, I love each fur baby like they are my own. I want the owners to feel comfortable leaving their fur babies in my hands and enjoy their time away from home, knowing that their fur babies will be cared for.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I believe that they are the happiest in an environment they are comfortable in when their humans are gone. I follow instructions that owners leave me, send daily picture updates and can send message updates as well to give an owner peace of mind. I am comfortable taking a pet out on leash or let them out through a door into their own backyard. I am comfortable with various medication administration types (oral, topical, injectable). Each baby is accounted for before I leave for work and before leaving when I am done with the allotted visits.

House Sitting • Nov 07, 2024

Kaitlyn is wonderful. She did housesitting for me and my puppy, and while I was away, my dog developed an ear infection. She was very communicative about the situation and was willing to spend a couple hours with him in the urgent care so he could be seen asap. Knowing that my puppy received care as soon as possible was amazing!

Kaitlyn was responsive, and ensured that my pup had time outside of his crate and was fed on a long day I was away from home. I would definitely recommend Kaitlyn!

Kaitlyn is literally amazing. Our GSD puppy came sooner than expected and we had a family trip that we had been planning for about a year prior (WWWYF, iykyk 🤘🏾). We wanted to vet the person carefully because at the time, we didn't know what he would be like. She offered to do an in-home visit before we had him to meet us and go over a few things, and then offered to come back once we got him. We are very private about our home, so we were a little nervous about having someone be here when we weren't, but when we met her we were put at ease. We finally got him! He was adorable, and amazing, and everything we wanted, albeit a little shy. She came over to meet him and he was super shy and cautious, but we figured it would be okay because he was a new puppy. And we were right! We went on our trip and he had a blast. She took pictures to keep us updated, let us know about his cough, kept him entertained, and he just had a grand ol' time. We definitely found a permanent dog sitter in Kaitlyn, and you definitely will too! Thanks for everything Kaitlyn!

Current schedule: August- FRIDAY-SUNDAY 2pm-2am September- THURSDAY AND FRIDAY 3pm-3am and SUNDAY 2pm-2am

Cats

16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Kaitlyn can host up to 1 drop-in per day
Please let me know if there are medications that are needed and how they are administered. I would like to know if there are food allergies for both pets and family members to avoid potential risks. If there are pet conflicts (dog/cat aggressive, high prey/ball drive that results in chasing other animals) that can be avoided or special restrictions (no running, injuries, recovery) that are needed. Most importantly, how can I make sure your babies are happy and comfortable with me!
