I’m currently on summer break until mid-August, so my hours are very flexible! Drop-Ins can be scheduled as early as 8am or as late as 10pm. For summer-time walks, I’d prefer to schedule for mornings or mid-to-late afternoons to avoid the extreme heat (and to keep your pup’s paws safe!)

Safety, trust & environment
For Drop-ins, I typically spend a few extra minutes with your pup to let them play or give them some extra love before I leave. I am happy to crate your pets or leave them out to roam your home when I leave. If your pet is stubborn about listening, eating, being crated, etc. I am very patient but not opposed to (approved) treat-based bribery if need be. For walks in this summer heat, I am vigilant for over-heating and will keeps walks short, shady (as best I can), and off the pavement.
Information Kaitlin S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet is reactive on leashes or has any special needs I can account for! If you have a large dog that has a habit of jumping or can get over-excited enough to knock a person over, I’d appreciate the heads-up before I meet them!
A typical day
I love to explore new communities and let pets sniff their way around. I’m always up for playing tug with a dog, or throwing a ball for them! And, of course, lots of pets to wind-down after a walk or game of fetch is essential :)

Pet care experience
I’ve been working with pets in the Triangle area for five years. I have experience house-sitting and walking small, medium, large, and very large (St. Bernards) breeds, and have worked with puppies and senior dogs. I am comfortable walking multiple dogs at once, including very large breeds. I’ve administered oral medications, managed antibiotic rounds, and regularly given daily pills. I’ve cared for dogs post-surgery and have experience washing and dressing wounds. I am very comfortable with “aggressive breeds,” as I own two pit/boxer mixes, as well as reptiles (I own a snake!)
Reviews
Kaitlin was my regular petsitter for two medium-large dogs for 2 years. She made daily work week stops, and she also took care of my dogs while I was on vacation. She was always reliable, and I never had to worry whether she would show up. She was also very open to special requests as needed. She took such great care of my two dogs. I miss her; my dogs loved her, and I would highly recommend her.
Kaitlin is great with our dogs that are quite a handful and have several health issues! She is very patient, reliable and we completely trust her with our pups. She also follows our ever evolving medication situation with ease. She clearly loves dogs, we highly recommend her!
