Pet care experience

Passionate for pups and other pets

Hi there! My name is Kaitlin! I have been caring for animals all my life, and I'd love to help you with yours! I have a red heeler mix named Piper. Unfortunately, she came from an abusive home. I understand how much patience and love goes into helping rehabilitate a dog. That being said, I know not every dog (or cat) is comfortable with someone petting them right away, and that's okay! If your pet loves everyone or a only a select few, if I'm with them, I will care for them as I care for my own. I love to go on walks and be in nature and I hope your pet does too. If that doesn't sound like your pets pace; I am there for whatever y'all need. I believe in clear and open communication. I will always treat you, your pet, and your home with respect. Additional Policies: Your pets safety is my number one concern, when the temperature or heat index is 85 degrees or hotter walks may be shortened up to 15 minutes with play time inside afterwards. If it is over 100 degrees it is unsafe to walk. I will come do a short potty break and play inside instead. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions regarding care. Can't wait to meet you and your pet! -Kaitlin D.

Kaitlin is always a great sitter. We are repeat clients who use her whenever we have an out of town trip. She always takes great pictures, keeps us updated and is reliable. I would recommend her to any and all pet parents.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

My daily or weekly schedule: Even though I am currently working a second part time job, I usually only need to take 2 to 4 hours out of my days Monday-Friday for my second job! On average my hours for my secondary job are between 1pm-4:30pm. Other than that I am WIDE open

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

How I care for your pets in your home: Whenever I have a meet and greet with clients, I have a questionnaire that I fill out while we are speaking in your home. I do this so I can have all of your pets information at a moments notice. I ask about schedules, feedings, walks, and other important information that way when I am with your pet, they are not straying far from their everyday schedule where they are most comfortable.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day when I’m with your pet: If I am housesitting for you and spending one-on-one time with your pets I like to find out what their favorite toys and activities are that way I can play with them as much as they want. If they prefer cuddles and belly rubs I have no problem with that either! When it comes to walks if there’s a certain route that you would prefer us to take I don’t mind following that route otherwise I like to take pets for walks where there is shade from the Texas heat.

I have a full questionnaire that I like to ask during a meet and greet. Some examples of important information to know about a pet ahead of time are things like: • what are your expectations and how can I best help you and your pet feel most comfortable • any health issues (arthritis, medications, allergies, etc.) But don’t worry we can cover the rest during a meet and greet!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
