During the summer I am mostly free. During the school year I work full time but can stop by after 3:30 weekdays to watch or walk the pets. Weekends I can stop by anytime!

I will treat your pet as if they were my own, but won't cross their boundaries - if they don't want to be pet or touched, then they won't be pet or touched. In times that clients animals have gotten into fights I separate them into separate rooms or kennels. I can also send updates on your animals if you would like!

Pet care experience
I've taken care of many pets through the years including my own dogs, cats, and pet mouse. I’ve pet sit for dogs, cats, and even a frog. My job has been to feed & water them, take them to potty, walk them if requested, and play with them as well as cleaning up litter boxes, washing and drying dirty beds and blankets, and cleaning up any messes. I've taken care of larger and smaller dogs, as well as puppies. I have also helped to raise a litter of kittens and currently have my own cat! I love to research animal care in my free time.

So grateful for Kailyn checking on my kitties. Even my outdoor semi feral boys let her near them, so clearly she has a magic touch. She is responsive, responsible, and kind. I will happily hire her again!
Kailyn is an all-star! She is my go-to girl for drop ins with my 17-year-old dog, Neela. I also just had Kailyn house sitting and caring for Neela for a few nights and it was a seamless experience. Kailyn was communicative when necessary and responsive whenever I happened to reach out to her during the stay as well. I wholeheartedly trust Kailyn with Neela and housesitting and I’m so grateful for her services in the Grinnell area!!!
