I talk to them like they’re children, as many pet parents do. They recognize some words I use regularly, mouse (our cat) has learned “sit” for when she’s begging for food. The ducks (blueberry, broccolini, Beansprout, bubbles) know “very good” as positive reinforcement for good behaviors. They also know wow and stretch as admiration for their regular preening and, well, stretching!

Kailey's journey towards becoming an advocate for ALL animals began at a young age; she has been a vegetarian since I can remember. All of her actions are for the good of the environment. Tending to, and spoiling pets, plants and all animals is of the highest priority for Kailey. She would consistently take the time to play with our cat Milo. I also would notice how dogs are drawn to her. I feel like they sense her calmness and love. From bearded dragons and fish to cats and dogs, they all receive her dedicated and thoughtful attention.
When my family went out of town last summer, Kailey watched our dog, Sophie. Sophie is a beagle-mix and can be quite high maintenance. She loves finding things to eat that she shouldn't, has a sensitive stomach, and can get a bit anxious. So, there are very few people who we would trust to watch Sophie. While we were away, Kailey kept to Sophie's food schedule and took her on two walks a day, in addition to letting her out throughout the day to use the bathroom. Kailey made sure Sophie never got to anything (she loves finding loose socks and paper napkins) and gave her all the care and attention she needs to feel safe and loved. Sophie is always thrilled when Kailey comes over. I am happy to recommend Kailey to anyone looking for a dog sitter or walker. They can trust that their dog is in good hands with her and will be taken great care of. Kailey has an incredible amount of compassion for animals, no matter the species, and it shines especially when she meets a new dog!
Kailey had a true connection with my pup, Nova, just moments after they first met! Kailey took great care of my puppy, and I never have any hesitation when it comes to who I will turn to when I need care for my dog.
Kailey usually dog sits for me when I go out of town which is often because of my job. My dog is always thrilled to see her and she is so loving! He has a lot of dietary needs/medication he takes but she is very detail oriented with remembering his medical needs even though she is a sitter for other dog owners. Kailey is a great dog sitter and even better human. Definitely would recommend her to other people!

Schedule
My every day schedule is build around caring for our animals. I wake up and the first thing I do is feed mouse (our cat). Then I bring the ducks (blueberry, broccolini, Beansprout, bubbles) out to forage. Throughout the day I play with mouse as she expresses a need for it and the ducks are allowed to forage as long as they behave. Mouse then gets dinner around 4 and that’s around when the ducks go in for the night, sometimes let out later for an evening roam before bed. I keep Metal’s (bearded dragon) food and water bowl full and he gets weekly showers, he has become less energetic with age so he has less interest in roaming outside his tank than in his youth.
