Availability
Rover will be my primary source of income both while I am at college (Lancaster, PA) and at home (Hamden, CT), so I am available nearly all the time! My schedule flexibility allows for last minute jobs and late night stays. I am also able to do time slots that other sitters may not be able to do, such as walking a dog or checking on them during the workday.

I treat them gently even if they are being disobedient, and make sure they always have what they need to feel comfortable and happy. I also follow any directions from the owner precisely and thoroughly to ensure the safety of their dog and/or their home.

Just let me know about your pet’s quirks! Are there any things they do that may seem strange to others but are normal for them? I also would like to know if they are a generally cooperative dog or not (ex. do they respond to “no?”)
A typical day
I love to take the dogs to any of the nearby parks! If they can handle it, I also love to take them to dog parks to meet other dogs and play with them. The more places that a dog is exposed to (ex: the beach, the town, hiking trails), the better! Or, if they’d rather stay at home and cuddle, that can also be arranged.

Hello, I’m Kai! I’ve been a sitter on Rover since August 2023 (2 years). I originally learned how to care for dogs from my mom who was also a dog sitter. I learned from her the ins and outs of caring for all kinds of dogs, including dogs with special needs. I’ve given dogs special medicines and helped care for a senior dog who is both blind and deaf. After 2 years of Rover-ing, you think you’ve seen it all, but there is always another lovely pet waiting to hang out with you! Every booking is a new adventure!
