If the animal is nervous, I’ll slowly and quietly make sure their needs are met (food, water, clean space) and allow them to observe me. If the animals are more outgoing, I like to engage with them and learn how they enjoy being pet, played with, and spoken to.

Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments since I was a teenager. I care deeply about creating a safe, trusting relationship with the animals I look after, and am responsive to their boundaries. Whether they’re shy, exuberant, or nervous, I want to make your pet’s experience comfortable! I have 10 years experience with dogs, 15+ with cats, and 2 with rabbit, birds, and fish.

Kai was amazing with our senior pup, Milo, while we were away for 2 weeks. The daily updates and photos were great and Milo was definitely a happy pup and well taken care of. Very much appreciate Kai's care and attention to Milo!
Kai is our go to dog sitter!!! I know when we are gone our dogs are getting lots of love and we get pictures/videos throughout the time we are gone. Kai has great communication, and does a great job with our very hyper dog and our very anxious dog.
I love how Kai is always on time and is a great communicator with us and our pup. Kai also has a good sense of the nature of our dog and I appreciate the boundaries he sets with him.
I’ve been booking Kai to walk my dogs for several months now, the experience has been great! He’s quick to communicate, and sends the cutest pictures of my pups. He always knows just what they need, whether that be a brisk walk to get their energy out, or a lounge in the sun to enjoy some relaxing outside time. My dogs have gotten to know him, and I can tell they are very relaxed when he walks them.
