Safety, trust & environment

We hope you’ll take a moment to look through our photo gallery so you can see our home, experience, and the environment your dog will be staying in. Safety, cleanliness, and trust are very important to us. - We maintain a clean, sanitary, non-smoking home with a safe, secure fenced yard. Guest dogs are carefully supervised, and our guest list is kept small — typically 1–3 dogs at a time — so each dog receives attentive care in a safe, loving setting. - Our home is cage-free, and dogs are not crated or kenneled as part of our normal care. At night, dogs sleep in our bedroom with us — never crated away, left alone overnight, or placed in a separate room unattended. If your dog is crate-trained and feels most comfortable resting in their own crate, we can discuss that during the meet-and-greet and follow your preferences. - At bedtime, dogs may sleep on our large family-sized bed or settle into one of the comfortable dog beds arranged around us. We provide different bed sizes and styles, along with doggie stairs for dogs who need help getting on and off the bed. - Because our guests sleep in our bedroom and many are welcome on the bed, we kindly ask that dogs arrive freshly bathed or clean before their stay. This helps us maintain the comfortable, clean, home-style environment that makes every guest feel safe and cared for. - You’ll receive regular photo and video updates daily so you can stay connected and feel at ease while you’re away.

Information Kai L. would like to know about your pet

Before accepting a reservation, we like to make sure your dog may be a good fit for our home. Please share your dog’s breed, weight, age, personality, social skills with other small dogs, and any medical needs or special concerns. - We are best suited for friendly, non-aggressive small dogs, generally up to 30 lbs. Occasionally, we may consider a slightly larger dog from the same household on a case-by-case basis, depending on temperament and fit. - Dogs should be at least 1 year old, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, on flea/tick prevention, and free of fleas, ticks, parasites, or contagious conditions. - Required Vaccines: Rabies, DHPP & Bordetella - We do not accept dogs with a history of aggression or biting. - - Meet & Greet Process - Our first meet-and-greet is typically done in a neutral setting, such as a local park, so we can get to know you and your dog. - If the first meet-and-greet feels like a good match and everyone would like to move forward, we’ll complete a short care intake form together during that first visit, before scheduling the second meet-and-greet at our home. - This form includes helpful details such as your contact information, veterinarian information, your dog’s routine, medical needs, behavior, sleeping habits, feeding schedule, and overall care needs. - The second meet-and-greet gives us the chance to see how your dog does in our home environment, especially with our dogs, and gives you the chance to feel comfortable and secure knowing exactly where your dog will be staying. - Once everyone feels confident it is the right fit, we can move forward with booking. - - Male Dog Policy - Male dogs may mark in a new home environment, even if they do not mark at home. This is very common and does not mean they are “bad” dogs. To help keep our home clean, sanitary, and comfortable for all guests, male dogs may need to wear a belly band/male wrap during their stay. This is typically determined during the second meet-and-greet at our home. If needed, owners will provide the belly bands/male wraps.

A typical day

A typical day here is happy, engaging, and full of attention. Some dogs love to play, socialize, explore, and make new friends, while others prefer to relax, cuddle, nap, and stay close by our side. We adjust to each dog’s personality so they feel loved and truly at home. - Dogs enjoy comfortable spaces throughout our home, plus a full-sized playroom designed especially for them with toys, tunnels, and enrichment activities. It also gives them a fun indoor option for rainy days, extreme heat, cold weather, or whenever outdoor play needs to be shortened. - Outdoor time is part of the day, too. Dogs can enjoy fresh air in our fenced yard — running, sniffing, exploring, or simply relaxing outside with us. - Our goal is for every stay to feel like a safe, happy little vacation, while giving you true peace of mind.

My husband and I had been looking for a homelike setting for our dogs for years. When we found Karenne we felt that we hit the jackpot. Our dogs are loved and cared for at her home. It’s obvious that she loves dogs. She sends pictures and videos and I felt like my dogs were at a family members home. I recommend Karenne whole heartedly if you’re looking for a loving home to send your furry babies to.

Karen has taken care my dog Mic for over 6 years. She always loves to see him and knows how to make him feel comfortable. When I pick him up he is always happy and I can see very well taken care of.

In recent memory, my wife and I have agonized over vacation trips. We would always acquiesce and stay in pet friendly hotels that were nearby our travel destination with varying degrees of success (The Joy). This year we decided to do something different and go overseas. As we mulled over a couple of options, we decided to ask Karenne (Fantastic Groomer, BTW) if we could leave our two boys with her and Danny (Her Partner). We couldn't have been more elated with the entire experience. Daily videos were sent chronicling our babies activities and it was through this detail we knew that the right decision had been made. Not only is Karenne a great caregiver, she was able to quell the initial anxiety of our boys and give them their own vacation/spa experience. Thank you so much guys for such a great experience. My wife and I highly recommend this service to any dog/puppy parent that wants to be put at ease that all will go smoothly.
