Pet care experience

🐾 Vet Tech Sitter + Walker

Hi! I’m Kai — a Fear Free Certified, vet-trained pet care professional with 6+ years of hands-on animal experience in emergency veterinary care, kennel work, and zoo volunteering. I’m a licensed vet technician who is currently in college to become a licensed veterinarian, so your pets are in the care of someone who understands both behavior and health. I’m comfortable with cats, dogs, seniors, anxious pets, reactive dogs, and medically complex animals. ⸻ 🐶🐱 What Sets Me Apart ✔ Vet-Level Handling & Medical Care • Oral meds, ear/eye meds, injections, insulin • Subcutaneous fluids • Post-surgery care • Senior & special-needs pets • Able to recognize early signs of illness ✔ Fear Free & Animal First Aid Certified • I know how to reduce stress and build trust • Safe handling for pets who are shy, nervous, reactive, or slow-to-warm-up ✔ Clean, Reliable, Detail-Oriented Care • Litter boxes deep cleaned, not just scooped • Feeding areas wiped, bowls washed, floors tidy • Dogs walked to their energy level — from zoomies to gentle sniff walks ✔ Behavior-Respectful Approach Whether it’s a spicy cat, a hyper puppy, or an anxious senior dog, I meet pets where they are. No forced affection, no rushing boundaries — just calm, patient care. ⸻ 📸 What You Get With Every Booking ✅ Daily photo + video updates ✅ Notes on behavior, appetite, energy, potty/litter box habits ✅ Enrichment: playtime, enrichment feeding, brushing, puzzle toys, sniff walks ✅ Full respect for your home, your routine, and your pet’s comfort ⸻ 🐾 My Promise I don’t just “check on” pets — I care for them like a trained professional and like they’re my own. Whether you have a shy cat, a high-energy dog, a senior pet, or a medical case, you’re getting someone who truly understands animals.

Kai is a wonderful person and trustworthy friend toward me and my dog ... So far, without a doubt, he is the best Rover employee I have utilized in Casper!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I have a very flexible schedule, so I’m available anytime — mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, and weekends. I structure my day around the pets I’m caring for, which means I can accommodate specific feeding times, medication schedules, or routine-based pets. Whether you need early-morning drop-ins, midday walks, late-night check-ins, or full house sitting, I can adjust to what your pet needs. Just let me know the timing, and I’ll make it work.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority — whether I’m caring for them in your home or mine. I follow Fear Free handling methods, stay calm and respectful with all animals, and never rush visits or force interactions. 🏠 In Your Home (Drop-Ins / House Sitting) • I follow your pet’s routine exactly — feeding, meds, walk schedule, and house rules • Doors, gates, and locks are always double-checked before I leave • I keep your home clean and secure — food areas wiped, litter boxes scooped, water bowls refreshed • I send detailed updates so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing 🐶🐱 Pet Safety • I never let dogs off-leash unless in a fully fenced area • I monitor for choking hazards, stress signals, food aggression, or escape attempts • I’m trained to recognize early signs of illness, dehydration, anxiety, and GI issues • Meds are given on time and documented (with a photo or message if you want) ❤️ Trust & Care Standards • I treat every animal like an individual — no forced affection, no dominance tactics • I respect your home, privacy, and belongings • Communication is constant: photos, videos, behavior notes, potty/litter notes, etc. • If anything ever seems “off,” you’re notified immediately If you have detailed instructions, routines, or special quirks — I love that stuff. The more I know, the more I can care for your pet the exact way you do.

Pets

A typical day

Every pet is different, so I tailor the day to their personality, energy level, and comfort. But here’s what a fun, safe day usually looks like: 🐶 For Dogs • Enrichment walks at their preferred pace — sniff-led, calm, or playful • Mental games like “find it,” puzzle feeders, or simple obedience practice for fun • Fetch or tug-of-war for high-energy pups • Chill time for seniors or anxious dogs — slow walks, gentle brushing, or just sitting together for comfort • Routine-focused care with feeding, potty breaks, meds, and quiet downtime 🐱 For Cats • Interactive play with feather wands, lasers, or their favorite toys • Safe enrichment like window watching, puzzle feeders, and scent games • Calm cuddle time for affectionate cats • Respectful quiet companionship for shy or nervous cats — I let them warm up at their own pace • Litter box checks, fresh water, and tidy feeding areas ❤️ What Every Pet Gets • Consistent meals + hydration • Photo/video updates throughout the day • Behavior notes so you know exactly how they’re feeling • A clean, safe, and stress-free environment • Extra patience for seniors, shy pets, and special-needs animals

I want to make sure your pet gets the safest, most comfortable care possible, so the more I know upfront, the better. Here’s what helps me prepare: 🐶🐱 Health & Medical Needs • Any medications (what, when, how they like to take it) • Allergies or sensitive stomach issues • Past or current medical conditions • Mobility limitations or pain issues • Recent surgeries, injuries, or vet instructions • Seizures, anxiety disorders, or anything I should monitor closely 🐾 Behavior & Personality • Are they shy, anxious, reactive, friendly, or protective? • How do they react to new people, dogs, cats, or noises? • Any fear triggers — men, hats, loud sounds, sudden movements, etc. • Are they escape artists, door dashers, fence climbers, or chewers? 🍽️ Routine & Preferences • Feeding schedule, food amounts, treats allowed • Potty schedule or litter box quirks • Their favorite toys, comfort items, and calming techniques • What they love and what they absolutely don’t like • How much exercise or play they’re used to daily 🚪 House Rules • Crate or no crate? • Allowed on furniture or not? • Special instructions for alarms, locks, gates, or yard use • Any rooms or areas that are off-limits
