About Me Hi! I’m a Virginia Tech Class of 2021 graduate with a degree in Dairy Science and over 8 years of hands-on animal care experience as a veterinary assistant and kennel technician in both Virginia and Alabama. Animals have been my passion for as long as I can remember. My background includes working in veterinary clinics, pet retail, pet sitting, and rescue/foster care. Over the past 4–5 years, I have fostered numerous dogs through local rescues, giving me experience with a wide variety of breeds, personalities, ages, and behavioral needs. From shy puppies learning confidence to senior dogs needing extra patience and care, I’ve worked with them all. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience caring for horses, goats, turtles, and other small animals. My philosophy is simple: every pet deserves patience, consistency, enrichment, and positive reinforcement so they can feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. At home, I share my life with three dogs: Ace (Heeler/Chihuahua mix), Bernie (Terrier mix), and Rye (Lab mix) as well as my special needs cat, Wybie, and two painted turtles. Because of my diverse animal care background, I am comfortable caring for pets with unique personalities, medical needs, and special routines. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and needs so I can provide personalized care while you’re away. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, play sessions, cuddles on the couch, outdoor adventures, or simply a calm and consistent routine, I’ll make sure they receive the attention they deserve. I have experience administering medications, caring for senior pets, working with rescue animals, and managing multi-pet households. I also understand how important communication is, so you can expect regular updates, photos, and check ins for peace of mind.
