Kaelyn can care for
Availability
Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine, as I am currently home from college for the summer and have a very flexible schedule. I am available during both weekdays and weekends and can adjust my availability to meet your pet’s needs. As an avid pet lover, I would love the opportunity to care for your dog or cat and make sure they receive plenty of attention, care, and consistency while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment
I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for every pet in my care. I have hands-on experience caring for my 6-year-old Aussiedoodle, including independently looking after him for multiple days at a time. Because he is a high-energy dog, I am very familiar with keeping dogs active, engaged, and entertained, as well as recognizing when they need rest. In my home, pets receive plenty of attention, regular walks, and a structured routine. Since I do not have a fenced yard, I am very mindful about leash safety and supervision when outdoors. I also have experience with crate training from raising my dog as a puppy, so I’m comfortable maintaining routines that pets are already used to. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow all instructions closely, maintain a clean environment, and ensure pets feel safe and comfortable in their familiar space. I treat every pet like my own and always focus on their safety, happiness, and well-being.
Information Kaelyn S. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for any pet, I like to understand their routine, personality, and specific needs so I can give them the best care possible. It’s really helpful to know their feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any habits or quirks they may have. I also like to know how they behave around new people, other animals, or on walks, as well as their energy level, whether they’re more relaxed or high-energy like my own dog. Any information about training (like crate training), commands they respond to, or things they may be sensitive to is very important. Additionally, I appreciate knowing what your pet enjoys most, whether it’s certain toys, games, or just lots of attention- so I can make sure they feel comfortable and happy. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible and make them feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.
A typical day
A typical day with me is all about matching your pet’s energy and personality. I’m very used to high-energy dogs (like my Aussiedoodle), so I love keeping them active with walks, playtime, and games like chase or “come-and-get-it.” I know how to handle those excited “zoomie” moments and make sure dogs get their energy out in a fun and safe way. I also make sure to balance play with downtime, whether that’s relaxing on the porch, hanging out inside, or just giving them attention and companionship. I’m very attentive and love being around animals, so your pet will never feel ignored. For cats, I keep things calm but engaging, with playtime with toys, maintaining their routine, and giving them attention on their terms. I’m comfortable caring for both playful kittens and more relaxed cats.

Pet care experience
I am a dedicated and trustworthy honor student that just successfully completed her 2nd year for Clemson Architecture, I have had pets all my life, 2 cats and 1 dog that I have loved, cared for and watched over for as well as helped with my neighbors with helping watch over their family cats and dogs in my close-knit neighborhood just outside Furman University. I am available to care for your precious fur babies this summer in the greater Furman/TR area. I helped my mom raise our now 6-year-old doodle from crate training as an 8-week-old puppy to now. I help with walking, feeding, and administering any medications as needed. I've also had two cats, and I helped with feeding, changing the water, and scooping/cleaning the little box daily.
