Kaela recently stayed at my home with my dog for two weeks while I was in Europe. She was a lifesaver, after the sitter I had cancelled. I almost hate to say it, because I'm afraid she'll get too busy for us to schedule her, but Kaela is definitely the one you want to hire to take care of your furry family members! She is a real professional--competent, communicative and conscientious--everything you want in a pet sitter! She house-sat for me for a week, and I returned to a clean home with happy, healthy dogs and cats. She kept up my senior cat's multiple mealtimes, administered meds to my senior dog and retrieved my younger dogs after they escaped! She handled all of it with ease, AND a great attitude! Kaela will not disappoint!!!
Though Kaela is new to Rover, it is obvious that she has a great deal of experience with caring for animals. As a house-sitter for our two dogs over 4 days, we couldn't even tell she was there. She communicated well and took great care of the pups, even going above and beyond by taking our youngest, Callie, to the dog park twice during her stay. Kaela was professional and showed a true compassion for our dogs. We highly recommend her.

Schedule
As a graduate student, my schedule is flexible and I’m usually working on my laptop from home. My daughter is a teen who drives and available for backup help when I need her. We make a great team.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large unfenced yard and wooded area perfect for exploring. I allow my cats to roam but they never leave the front of the house. They are trained to come inside when I call them and I’ve even trained one to sit on command. They have access to a private room if a pet needs to stay overnight in my home. I never push boundaries and realize all creatures have their own personal bubble. I am an experienced walker and use positive coaching and encouragement for walks.
Pets
A typical day
I take dogs to walk around the field or in the woods if they are leash-trained. Otherwise the dog park is a short drive from my house! I usually try to make a trip to the park once a day if I have high energy dogs I am caring for.
