I am a full time dog walker during the weekdays, so if I am staying with your pooch you can expect me to be gone for no more than 5 hours mid-day (between 9:30 and 2:30 typically) to accommodate those who struggle with bladder control or experience separation anxiety. If your dog requires a break in between those 5 hours, please notify me at the time of the initial booking request so we can work out an appropriate plan for your dog.

My few requirements of clients are as follows: - If your pet is leaving the house, they must have tags with your information and/or city registration, or be microchipped. - If I am staying in your home, you must have a fire extinguisher and show me where to find it before our stay begins. - You leave me an emergency contact who your pet is familiar with. In odd cases where dogs will behave unexpectedly fearful without their parents around, having a familiar face on hand who can assist lowers the chance of injury/conflict. I don't ask for much; safety is the main priority every time! If you have any questions about me or my specialized services please don't hesitate to message me!

Is your dog/s reactive/aggressive to other dogs/animals/people/cars? Any other particular behavioural concerns they are currently working through? i.e. guarding from another dog in the home/people, sensitive to handling, etc. Do they struggle with separation anxiety when you leave for work or go away for extended periods of time? Are they potty trained? Are their vaccinations up to date? Do they have a tag on their collar with your information? Does your dog/s have any allergies/are they diabetic? Who is their regular vet in case of an emergency? I want to provide the best care by knowing as much about your dog as possible. When I stay with them I will get to know their quirks and can adapt to all personality types/stages of life. *Homeowners, please notify me of any human food allergies prior to the stay.

If there is a favourite dog park they love to attend we will go on a fun adventure in the evenings, and enjoy regular walks around the neighbourhood during the day. I love cuddles at bed time and we can play fetch until the cows come home! If your dog has any training they are working on for extra stimulation I would love to work with them.

From the farm to the big city, I have lived to love animals of all kinds, big and small. Over my years of working with dogs with wide ranging temperaments each has touched my heart and given me more insight into the world of dog communication. I am an advocate for positive reinforcement training and have worked alongside trainers who have used both treat and treat free tools for providing our dogs with balanced training to set them up for success! I understand not all dogs can settle comfortably into a dog boarding facility or at a stranger's home, so if you are looking for your pooch to be taken care of in the comfort of their own home I am happy to come to you! For all breeds I provide individual day walks while you work so they can get the special attention they deserve. I have worked with reactive/underconfident dogs for the past 5 years so if this is something that causes you to hesitate when searching for a dog walker I can ensure your dog enjoys a stress free walk while we are out. I believe reliability and communication are the keys to a great relationship between dog walkers/sitters and the families we work with!

This was our second time having Kaela stay with our two dogs and once again, no complaints! Kaela is so responsive and reliable, sends great stories and updates daily, and beautiful photos. Her schedule is busy and I can understand why!
Kaela was an amazing house a pup sitter. Both my “interesting” pups love her and missed her after she left. I felt comfortable and safe with Kaela watching my pups the entire time.
Kaela came to stay with our two boys for the weekend, and we could not have asked for a better sitter! Fun, detailed daily updates with stories about the day's activities along with beautiful photos. Very responsive to any extra messages I sent. We came home to very happy pups and a lovely tidy house. Already looking at future dates to rebook!
