Safety, trust & environment

Definitely like to get outdoors and go for long walks or even just playing in the yard. I've been known to take dogs to the lake for some swimming or on local walking trails.

Information Kaden F. would like to know about your pet

Its important to know about any special diet or medications that your dog requires. It's also helpful to know if your pet has any medical conditions that I should know about like having asthma or a seizure disorder.

A typical day

Depending on the weather, I like to go for 1-2 mile walks in the neighborhood or to local walking trails. On hot days, I like taking dogs to the lake, to cool off. If dogs arent fans of long walks or swimming, I like to get their energy out by playing a lot.

Full time Animal Control Officer

Pet care experience

I'm a Maine state certified, part time Animal Control Officer since April 2016 and became full time in 2020. I’m required every year to get 8 hours of training in the animal field. I volunteered at Safe Haven Humane Society for 4 years. I have a wide range of knowledge when it comes to pets with special diet or health needs. I have specifically worked with diabetic animals, so I am trained and comfortable with giving insulin. I've had to administer IV fluids to animals, as well as an assortment of medications. As an ACO, I have had to work with all sorts of animals, from cats and dogs, to farm animals. I haven't dealt much with reptiles but I am comfortable enough to care for them too. I’ve taken college courses on animal nutrition, vet tech 101 and animal anatomy and physiology. I am also certified in pet CPR and first aid.

Both dogs seemed to have a great time with Kaden while we were away! He provided great updates and photos for us.

Kaden is great! We have an anxious dog and he did great with her. One of the dogs is on a bunch of medications and all went well. Also took care of our medically complex cat with ease. Tended to our chicks and chickens. House was left clean and the communication was great. We will definitely use him again.

Kaden was absolutely amazing!!! He sent pics and kept us updated on our girl while we were gone. He took care of our home and made sure everything was good during the freezing cold weather we had. We can’t say enough great things about him! We hope he was comfortable enough here with Stella to watch her again.
