Pet care experience
Dog is copilot, cats our landlords.
Uncanny ability to bond with cats and dogs of all breeds and sizes. Experienced in obedience training with positive reinforcement. I am happy to continue the training you are working on. Don't worry, I won't teach them any bad habits:) I will respect your feeding, medical, and playtime routines. I love to take pics and videos so you remain connected and at ease that your furries are safe. Should an unexpected trip to the vet be required, I will make it my priority.

Ratings and reviews
I can't say enough good things about Justin as a pet sitter! He's truly amazing with my cats, even the skittish ones who normally shy away from anyone else. Every time he comes over, my cats come out of hiding to hang out with him - they are instantly attracted to him. He has a magical way of getting them to do fun little tricks—like letting him put them in boxes or bags, or covering them with piles of toys. It’s hilarious and so sweet to witness. Justin’s talent isn’t just limited to cats, either. He’s great with dogs too. He’s got this incredible knack for training them while keeping it fun, almost like they’re on a playdate rather than a sit-and-stay session. He’s patient, kind, and full of energy, and pets absolutely love spending time with him. You can relax knowing they’re in the best hands. Highly recommend Justin for anyone looking for a pet sitter who will go above and beyond!
Having witnessed Justin’s pet ownership and attention to their care since 2011. I can safely say he is someone that I would trust whole heartedly with any of my animals. He has had two dogs (huskies) that he has trained personally to the point where I have witnessed them off leash in public setting and genuinely not worried about them because they were trained so well. He has also had cats that he has spoiled with attention and not garbage food. Even to the point he makes their food from scratch. Justin is someone you can trust with any of your furry friends.
Calendar and availability
Schedule
I keep busy as part of the gig economy, which affords me flexibility throughout the day and week. I retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2014 and continued to work for the aerospace and defense industry overseas, where I met my partner (Angie) who did a wonderful job showing me how cool the KC area is. I've worked as an instructor and as a risk management professional throughout Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma over the last several years and am looking to spend more time close to home with my girls (two Bengals - Lana and Dory) and my boy (Siberian Husky - "Pullo").
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
One of my girls (Dory the cat) receives oral meds and subcutaneous injections as part of her immunotherapy. Both of my girls and my boy are on raw food diets and I prepare their meals twice per day. My boy (65 lbs Siberian) traveled with me when I was driving all the way out to California, Florida, and Georgia to teach for 1-2 weeks at a time. He went on every one of my risk management assessments over the past two years. When home, I've always got a cat on my lap. When I'm not home, there are seven Mondo towers placed near windows so the girls can sun themselves throughout the day. They have a huge water fountain bowl with filtering to encourage them to hydrate more frequently. Everyone works for their food and treats by solving various food dispensing puzzles. Dog helps me train for occasional marathons. He likes tugging, chasing balls, and getting beat up by Dory.
Pets
A typical day
Tell me about their favorite games, toys, and spots to be rubbed. I like to fish for cats with feathered lures and to nap with them after they're all worn out. Love to make the kitties purr. Is your dog a fetcher, a tugger, a runner, or just plain lazy? We'll sort it out.
