I grew up with my Havanese and have loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I’m looking for more opportunities to spend time with dogs and give them the same love and attention I’ve always given my own. Over the years, I’ve also cared for dogs belonging to family, friends, and neighbors, so I’m comfortable with dogs of different personalities, ages, and energy levels. My Havanese is now 12 years old and blind, so I’ve learned how important it is to be patient and adjust to a dog’s individual needs. Whenever I visit him in California, I make sure to take him on slow, relaxed walks and give him plenty of time to explore safely. My wife also has two terriers in Japan who are very energetic. When we visit, we give them longer walks, play lots of fetch, and make sure they get plenty of exercise and stimulation. Whether a dog prefers a leisurely walk, an active play session, or simply some cuddles and company, I’m happy to meet them where they are and give them the care and attention they need.

I live in a spacious one bedroom apartment with elevator access, giving dogs plenty of room to relax and move around comfortably. Our building also has a separate dog entrance, which is quieter and less busy than the main entrance, making it easier to take dogs in and out comfortably. Our couch is also low to the ground and our building and apartment have a relatively flat surface, making it easy for senior dogs or dogs who may have back or mobility issues to get around comfortably. I always prioritize a safe, calm, and comfortable environment and will follow any routines or instructions provided by the owner.

Justin was great with McNugget! He treated her so sweetly, played lots of fetch with her, and gave her plenty of cuddles. He followed all of our instructions perfectly and was also very kind and easy to communicate with. McNugget seemed very happy and comfortable with him. We’d definitely trust him to watch her again! Justin's home was the perfect place for Kenny while we were away for 3 days. Kenny had a spacious yard and house to roam around in, and Justin sent us lots of photos where Kenny looked relaxed and comfortable. We would love to have Justin take care of Kenny again if the need arises.

Our dog, Duke, had a great time with Justin. Justin was super easy to communicate with and took great care of our dog. He also sent us a bunch of pictures of Duke daily. I highly recommend him. We will definitely rebook with him again.

I've seen Justin interact with his dog back at home and can see that he gives so much love and cares his dog a lot. Even if he had prior plans, he would make sure to prioritize giving food and/or walking his dog at a certain time. He has also met my 2 dogs back at home and they all became best friends instantly! I felt comfortable seeing him walk my dogs and he knew how to play with my dogs.

Schedule
I work full-time as an accountant, but I work from home most days, which gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the day. I’m able to take dogs on walks during my breaks and give them plenty of attention throughout the day. There are times when I’m busy with calls or work, but my wife, who absolutely loves dogs, is also home and can give them some extra attention and company. I’m happy to build my schedule around a dog’s usual routine and make sure they get the walks, playtime, and care they’re used to.
