I do Rover full-time, so my schedule is completely open and extremely flexible. I’m available seven days a week, including holidays, and happy to help with short notice requests or odd hours. Whether you need early mornings, late nights, or last minute visits, I’ll make it work. I’m familiar with Whatcom, Skagit, and surrounding counties and can travel for destination walks or pet sitting as needed. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life, and I enjoy having the freedom to be available anywhere, anytime.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and comfort always come first. I focus on creating a calm and loving environment so pets can relax and feel secure while you’re away. I’m confident handling larger dogs and high energy breeds, and I take time to build trust with shy or nervous pets. I usually schedule a meet and greet with you and your pet beforehand to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I can also transport pets safely in my vehicle to nearby parks, trails, or appointments, and I’m happy to stay overnight or do periodic check ins depending on what works best for you.

A typical day
A typical day with me is super fun and adventurous, with an emphasis on enjoying natural beauty. I love beach walks, forest trails, and neighborhood strolls. My dog Donzo loves to play with toys and I bring them with me everywhere we go. If your pet has any toys or activities they love I’m always happy to play fetch, bring toys, or play games to enrich and entertain your dog! For quieter pets, I would absolutely love chill, quiet, relaxing time spent brushing, cuddling, or enjoying nature. I’m not afraid to get muddy or soaked if it means your pet has a great time. Rainy or snowy weather is a fun time for me and my dog and I personally love being out in it for walks!

Training Focused Petcare
Pet care experience
I provide professional, training-focused pet care designed to set dogs (and their people) up for long-term success. I’m currently completing my dog trainer certification through Good Dog Academy, and I’m Canine First Aid & CPR certified through DogSafe. My approach is science-based, humane, and focused on building calm, confident, well-mannered dogs through consistency and real-world practice. Most of my services are structured around training-informed walks, drop-ins, and care, rather than simple potty breaks. During walks, I focus on loose-leash skills, neutrality around distractions, and confidence building. Extended walks allow for desensitization, exposure work, and thoughtful engagement tailored to each dog’s needs. In the home, I work on puppy foundations, basic obedience, calm settling, and confidence-building routines that translate into everyday life. I especially enjoy working with puppies and young dogs, helping them build strong foundations early, but I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes. I have experience with high-energy breeds, anxious dogs, separation anxiety, and dogs with neurological or compulsive behaviors. Safety and welfare always come first, and I use positive, fear-free methods that prioritize the dog’s emotional well-being and learning ability. I offer premium house sitting for clients who want more than basic supervision. My overnight care includes structured walks, enrichment, reinforcement of household manners, and thoughtful routines to keep dogs settled and fulfilled while you’re away. After stays or longer bookings, I’m happy to share a care summary or recommendations to help maintain progress. I work full-time in pet care, so my schedule is flexible and I’m available seven days a week, including holidays and last-minute requests. I’m comfortable working in all weather and throughout Northwest Washington, and I’m happy to tailor services to support your dog’s individual goals. All new clients begin with a meet & greet to ensure a good fit for everyone. If you’re looking for calm, professional care that blends structure, training, and compassion, I’d love to connect.
Reviews

Justin is wonderful! Exactly the person we were looking for. Dependable, punctual and responsible. Our nine month old afghan hound loves him.He stayed at our house for 3 days with her and everything was in perfect shape when we got home! Thanks Justin!

Justin was awesome! He stayed at the house for four days with our boys and everything went smooth as could be. Easy communication, pictures, lots of happ play time for our active guy. We will definitely be rebooking thanks Justin!!

Justin did a great job walking our dogs & checking in on our cat. First visit & all went well! Left us photos also. Very pleased!
My son has always had a special way with animals. He’s calm, patient, and truly caring — especially with his own two rescues, a dog and a cat, who absolutely adore him. He’s responsible, dependable, and takes pet care seriously, whether that means going for a long walk or just making sure a pet feels comfortable and safe. I know he’ll treat every animal he walks with the same kindness and attention he gives his own. Any pet parent would be lucky to have him.
