Justin is my 17-year old son. He has been caring for our family's dogs since he was about 7 years old - Cocker Spaniel, Great Dane mix, Beagle, and most recently a German Shepherd PUPPY. The past year with our puppy has been SOMETHING - there was the very trying "landshark" phase, where we were bitten by razor sharp puppy teeth constantly until she finally settled down around 6 months of age. And, more recently, she has grown to about 70 lbs so she isn't easy to corral, but Justin is more than happy to walk her, even when she pulls the leash. She is STRONG, but he is able to keep her safe and control her power on walks. Through all of this past year with the puppy, Justin has kept calm and always provides a demeanor of kindness and grace with our dogs. Can't say the same myself (ha!). Often, he has protected me from my own crazy puppy by lifting her up when she's biting me and putting her in "air jail" with plenty of kisses and hugs until she calms down. All that to say, he isn't afraid of any dog. He loves them so much and he's great at training as well. Justin is a drummer in a punk/heavy metal band, so he might appear to be edgy, but in his heart, he is soft-spoken, gentle, and has a deep passion for animals. He may be young, but I would trust him in a heartbeat to care for my dog(s), even overnight - and I often do.
