Since retiring from the Air Force, I have a flexible, open schedule that allows me to make pet care a regular part of my day. I’m available throughout the morning, afternoon, and evening for walks and drop-in visits, including many weekends. Because I’m not trying to squeeze visits around a full-time job, I can give your pet my full attention, arrive reliably, and maintain a consistent routine. I also have flexibility for recurring visits and reasonable last-minute requests.

For walks and drop-in visits, I will carefully follow your pet’s normal routine and all instructions you provide. I’ll confirm that doors, gates, collars, harnesses, and leashes are secure, and I will never allow a dog off-leash unless we are in a safely enclosed area and you have specifically approved it. During drop-ins, I can provide fresh food and water, bathroom breaks, playtime, companionship, and approved medications according to your instructions.

A typical day
A typical day starts by following your pet’s normal routine for meals, potty breaks, walks, and any special care instructions. Activities are tailored to each pet’s age, energy level, personality, and the Alaska weather. That might include neighborhood walks, games of fetch or tug, indoor play, basic training practice, treat puzzles, or plenty of sniffing and exploring. Senior or lower-energy pets can enjoy shorter walks, gentle play, and extra companionship instead. I also make time for cuddles and quiet relaxation, so every pet feels safe and comfortable. Throughout the stay, I’ll send photos and updates so you can see how your pet is doing.

As a longtime dog owner with three dogs of my own, I have hands-on experience caring for different personalities, energy levels, and daily routines.
