Safety, trust & environment

I live in a wooded area that has a lot of grass, which is perfect for those long (leashed) walks. I do have a dog of my own, Leia, who can be a great companion to your pup while you are away. My condo is a 2BD (1200 sq ft) which provides ample room for your pet to explore. There is even a balcony :) I also have a crate for Leia and she is crate trained, in the event your dog needs a break from her.

Information Jumara M. would like to know about your pet

Sharing your pup’s needs, routines, and preferences is one of the most important ways to ensure they receive the best possible care while you’re away. Every dog is unique, and knowing details such as their energy level, walking habits, feeding schedule, favorite activities, triggers, or any special quirks helps me create a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience for them. The more I understand what makes your pup feel happy, calm, and secure, the better I can mirror their normal routine and provide care that feels familiar and reassuring. Open communication allows me to fully accommodate your dog, build trust with them quickly, and give you peace of mind knowing your pup is receiving attentive, personalized care tailored specifically to their needs.

A typical day

For my own dog, Leia, I walk her in the morning around 10am-11am. We usually walk for about 20-30 mins. After our walk, she then has breakfast. She gets a mix of kibble with shredded chicken, pumpkin puree, and joint supplements. We then play throughout the day and go on our final walk at 8pm. Again we typically walk for 20-30 mins. Leia will have dinner around 9pm-10pm and she eats a mix of kibble with shredded chicken, pumpkin puree, and joint supplements.

Pup Care from a True Dog Person

Pet care experience

I’ve been a proud dog mom for over 10 years and have spent my life around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Being with dogs comes naturally to me, and I genuinely love getting to know what makes each pup unique. I’m always learning and adapting to your dog’s individual needs, because providing loving, attentive care is my top priority. When I’m caring for your dog, whether we’re playing, walking, or just hanging out, my focus is fully on making them feel happy, safe, and loved. I’m more than happy to take your pup to the dog park for fresh air, exercise, and social time with other dogs while you’re away. I also have a dog of my own, my “biological child”, a 6 year old black Lab mix who’s still full of energy and keeps life fun and active. I work as a photographer, which means I’m home about 80% of the time. This gives me great flexibility for drop-in visits and allows me to accommodate last minute bookings when life gets busy or plans change. When caring for your pup, I aim to keep their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. Whether that means walks, trips to the dog park, or sticking to the activities they already love, I’m happy to follow what works best for them so they feel right at home.

Jumara is truly a gem! I’m so happy I’ve found someone reliable to take care of my Bingo while I go away for work trips. She’s very sweet and answers back in a timely manner. Jumara is also a photographer and she was able to capture Christmas photos for Bingo and I to send out for our Christmas cards. Highly recommend booking with Jumara, thanks again!

I can’t recommend Jumara highly enough! She is dependable, attentive, and clearly has a connection with animals. They always make sure my dogs get plenty of exercise and affection, and I love getting little photo updates during walks. It’s sucks a relief knowing my pets are in such good hands!

Jumara was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of my pet and made the whole experience completely stress-free. From the start, she was communicative, professional, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. I received regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My pet looked happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I returned — a true sign of excellent care. Jumara went above and beyond, following all instructions carefully and treating my pet like her own. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again! 🐾

Jumara is truly one of a kind! She is like a real-life dog whisperer. From the very first meeting, my three dogs warmed up to her immediately, which honestly never happens. They can be a lot to handle, each with their own personalities and quirks, but she managed them all with total ease and confidence. Jumara has a natural connection with animals. She’s calm, patient, and completely in tune with their energy. Whether it’s managing their excitement at the door or keeping them focused and well-behaved on walks, she makes it look effortless. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my dogs are in such capable and caring hands. I highly recommend Jumara to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pets like her own. Absolute 10/10, she is amazing!!
