Availability

Rover is my primary source of income, so my schedule is entirely for you and your pets! I am available every day of the week for drop-ins, walks, and playtime, and am happy to house/pet sit as long as I am open on the needed dates. I do have a dog of my own, who I will be able to either leave at home with my family or bring with me, depending on you and your pet’s comfort level! Unfortunately, I cannot offer boarding at my house. I am here for you and your pet, and am always looking for how to better serve my clients. If you ever need to make an adjustment, or have any clarifying questions, I am quick to respond and honest in what I can, or cannot, provide you!

Safety, trust & environment

As I mentioned before, I will care for your dog as if they were my own! I will match your dog’s energy and personality to provide them with a safe and loving environment, ensuring that they feel comfortable from the very first meeting. Your routine with them will be my routine with them, and any special requests or specific needs they might have will be carefully and thoroughly attended to! If I am walking them, I will respect any boundaries they might have with people, places, or other animals, while making their walks all about THEM. If I’m dropping in, I will make sure they feel plenty of love and get the attention and time they deserve as they wait for you to come home. For overnight stays, I will respect any boundaries you have with them (they sleep/don’t sleep in a crate, they can/cannot go on the couch or bed, they are/are not allowed up or down stairs, etc) and make it feel like you never left! I know that no one is mom/dad to them like you are, but so can be the fun aunt that gives you BOTH peace of mind!

Information Julie T. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know about medications, allergies, any behavioral needs (anxiety, reactivity, prior issues with new people, etc.), any physical problems, any specific equipment/tools you use- I am familiar with muzzling, E-collar, prong collar, gentle leader, harness, etc- and overall any specific requests you have for our session! I will be 100% honest as to whether or not I can appropriately meet your needs!

A typical day

If I’m watching your dog, just know they’re in for some serious fun! For all 1 hour+ sessions, the day will start with some simple stretches (if they’re comfortable), then an outdoor activity, a pup cup (if they’re allowed), an enrichment activity of your choice or some relaxation, followed by another quick potty break before I leave/taking a break. For shorter sessions, stretches, an outdoor activity, and a pup cup can be expected! All dogs get plenty of photo ops for you! If you know a particular activity your dog enjoys (fetch, swimming, going on runs, tug, etc) I will include it in our program! I am a very active person so if you have a high energy dog, you can trust they’ll be sleeping peacefully when I’m done.

Pet care experience

I will love your dog as my own! You deserve to know that your BEST friend is in the BEST of hands. I have cared for newborn pups, nervous dogs, pups in training, senior dogs, sick pets, and have worked with- and been the primary caretaker for- high energy and high drive breeds for the past 2 years. My dedication to quality care, dog health and safety, and earning your trust makes it easy for you to step away and never worry about who is spending time with your dog!

Julie did an awesome job with our two girls 🐶. She sent videos and pictures of them on a very regular basis, which meant the world to us. The house looked great when we returned home. We highly recommend Julie!

Julie has been a pet lover since she was born! From the moment she was crawling, she would teach our dog to sit, share food, accept all sorts of physical touch. For as long as I can remember she has talked about caring for, training, and owning dogs. She has excellent handling skills - no dog is too strong, too active, or too playful for her! She has multiple years of animal veterinary/care experience and has spent the past year and some training dogs for specific needs. You could not be leaving your dog in better care; she is a dog-first, people-second kind of gal!
