Julie was extremely conscientious and very loving toward my two 12-year old Shih Tzu dogs, one of which has diabetes - which required glucose monitoring, giving shots, etc. She took them around the neighborhood several times-- I actually think they were disappointed to see us come home! I would highly recommend her.....a true lover of animals.

Julie is AWESOME! We had a small hiccup with our newly installed smart locks and she went above and beyond to make sure she was able to access the home and take care of our fur babies (Olive, 5 year old beagle-lab mix, and Pepper, 1 year old bengal kitten). Not only do the humans in my family trust Julie with the safety of our pets and home, but Olive and Pepper just adore her ...

We’ve had Julie watch our three pups a few times and she is great! She’s professional, trustworthy, communicative, and pours her love on our dogs while we’re away. Thank you, Julie!

What Julie would like to know about your dog

Let’s set up your free in-home consultation/ meet & greet, and allow me to show you that I am more than just an animal lover: I'm savvy, reliable, and show every pet the same level of care that they get from their own families.

Before the stay, I verify that the dogs'/ cats' care & safety plan instructions are updated with:
-- Current vet information
-- An emergency contact who can make decisions for the dog while the owner is away.
-- Safety Plan to soothe separation anxiety, prevent illnesses and injuries.
-- Other important care information, such as feeding instructions, bathroom routine, behaviors and exercise schedule.

Typical Meet & Greet Questions...

Does your dog/cat/other:
[ ] Have any health issues (e.g., arthritis, allergies, etc.)?

[ ] Take medication? If so, what’s their medication schedule?

[ ] What is your dog’s/cat's/other usual bathroom routine? And how do they let you know when they need to go?

[ ] Is your dog/cat/other used to being left alone? For how long and at what times?

[ ] What is your dog’s/cat's/other usual routine for walks, exercise, and outings?

[ ] Can you provide a harness and fixed-length leash?

[ ] Does your dog/cat/other have any favorite toys or games?

Behavior and Training
[ ] How do you reward your dog/cat/other for correct behavior?

[ ] How do you get your dog/cat/other to come when you call?

[ ] Does your dog/cat/other have any quirks that are normal behavior for them (e.g., funny noises they make) or specific tendencies I should know about?

[ ] Do they have any breed-specific quirks I should know about?

[ ] Does your dog/cat/other have any food aggression or instincts to protect particular toys?

How does your dog/cat/other handle being around:
[ ] Children?

[ ] Cats?

[ ] Dogs?

[ ] Other Pets?

[ ] Does your dog/cat/other have any potentially risky behaviors, like getting into the trash, chewing on shoes or other items, etc.?

[ ] Is your dog/cat/other crate-trained? When does the dog/cat/other go to/get put in the crate and for how long?

[ ] When your dog/cat/other is anxious or experiencing separation anxiety, what helps soothe him?

Services in the Client’s home (House sitting, Drop-ins, Walking)

When Julie watches your pet

Nothing Beats A New Adventure. New sights. New smells. New experiences.

Here's where we'll take our walks or runs, other:
Suburban & downtown neighborhoods, local woodlands, Lake Erie Beach.

During the stay, experience every step of your dog's walk through text updates, live GPS tracking, pee/poo notifications, and photo report cards.

My goal as a sitter is to provide pets the same experience they get at home, or one that's even better! I try to match the dogs'/cats'/other routine, from potty breaks to the methods the owners use to reward or correct behavior. Then, I throw in some extra fun to make the stay memorable for all!

I go beyond just the physical needs of your pet and understand the emotional state your pet may be in when you are not able to be with them. I do the very best to reduce the stress, boredom, and loneliness your pet may feel while you are away. I take care of pets with the utmost love, patience and safety.

I’ll happily provide services to pets of all breeds and sizes, including, but not limited to, those with floppy ears, beaks, and fins. I am able to handle special need pets that may need medication or may be a little shy and need an extra gentle touch.

I customize each visit to the specifications of clients. I know that no 2 pets are exactly alike and each family may need something different to make their pets happy. Whether it’s a run in the park, a stroll around the block, or a big cuddle session on the couch, I’ll be there to help out.

I have a true dedication and love for animals; this is not just a hobby to me — but a passion! I pride myself on building caring and professional relationships with my clients and making your pets a part of my extended family.

Special requests honored have included everything from attending an outside opera, hiking a cliff, sailing with and swimming alongside dogs, to playing piano inside a suite for a cat.
Service animal accompaniment assignments accepted.
Traveling and wish to take your beloved pet with you, but need assistance? Ask about my traveling availability.

Looking forward to the next adventure.
