I love caring for animals and have worked in many care giving roles over the years. I am empathetic and perceptive and good at working with individual temperaments and needs. I have a dog who is affectionate, playful, and sociable that always likes company. I have a flexible schedule and home during the day to provide focused care. I enjoy walking my dog several times a day and going to the dog park several times a week. Socialization is very important for dogs and I prioritize this for my pet and the dogs I care for. Our house is dog friendly and our neighborhood has slow traffic and nature trails for long walks and exercise. I have volunteered with the humane society and handled many types of dogs. I am good at accommodating high needs dogs. I am especially good at calming high anxiety and high energy dogs like terriers, as well as rescues who have past trauma.

Hugo always enjoys his stay at Julie’s. He comes home happy and I can tell he likes to go to her house and see his friend Pedro. She is attentive to his needs and also makes sure the dogs in her care get the activity and exercise they need.

Schedule
I work from home and so can accommodate any pets normal schedule and typical home routine. My kids are preteen age and also love interacting with dogs and can read their behavior to know when they want to play and when they want to be pet. All the pets I have cared for gravitate towards my kids because they know they are great playmates and a source of belly rubs.

A typical day
We enjoy going to the dog park at Swift Run. We can easily walk a few miles in our neighborhood which is quiet with slow traffic (speed bumps) and open grass fields to walk through.

- I think every owner handles their dog a little differently to accommodate their traits, personality, and past experiences. I would like to know what works and what doesn't work well when caring for your dog as well as what behaviors you would like help with. I understand that dogs have different past and that different families have different needs as well. There is no perfect dog or family and everyone finds what works for them and their situation best. More information about traits is helpful so I can accommodate and keep pets safe.
