I work remotely at my apartment 5 days out of the week, so I’m able to give ample attention to your pets and take them on frequent potty breaks and walks. I can host dogs on the weekends as well.

My apartment building is located in downtown DC but is managed with a concierge and requires key-fob entry. We would stay and play inside my apartment on the 3rd floor (no balcony and locked windows), and any movement outdoors with your pet would be with a leash. Your pet would be able to move freely around my home, and if desired, perch by the window and observe birds and other furry friends and humans. In a client’s home, you can trust me to follow safety instructions you’ve provided to ensure your pet stays comfortable in its environment.

Pet care experience
I have owned 3 dogs in my lifetime, including a springer spaniel, golden retriever, and shih tzu/Yorkie, so I am experienced with dogs of multiple sizes, dispositions and weights. I am experienced with feeding, walking, playing, managing other dog interactions, transporting to grooming and veterinary appointments, and training puppies. I display care and warmth when around dogs of all sizes and ages. I am skilled at providing medications, treats, or offering extra care when a dog must wear a neck cone or cast. I live a couple blocks from the National Mall and would happily play with your dog there when sitting or walking them. They are free to roam my apartment during the sitting appointment, and I can provide food, water, treats, and space to nap and play.
Reviews

Julie did a great job taking care of our cat pepper! She sent thorough updates and followed all instructions. She also took great care of our place and left it clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible and communicative pet sitter.

Julie was awesome!! She was very attentive to my instructions for my senior dog Birdie, who takes meds and can be a finicky eater. She sent daily summaries of their days together each day including lots of photos, and responded super quickly to a couple requests/questions I asked while she was sitting. She also left my place totally spotless, which is so appreciated when returning from travel! I will not hesitate to ask Julie to watch Birdie next time I go on a trip!

Julie is, quite simply, a once-in-a-lifetime pet sitter. We could not have dreamed up a better experience. From the moment we left for the Azores, we had absolute zero worries — the kind of peace of mind that is genuinely priceless when you’re far from home. Julie took extraordinary care of Stanley and Artemis, and it was immediately clear through her thoughtful updates and photos that our pets were not just “okay,” but completely at ease, happy, and thriving in their routine. Every photo made us smile. Stanley and Artemis looked relaxed, content, and so clearly loved. Julie’s attention to detail, consistency, and genuine affection for our pets made all the difference. Knowing they were in such exceptional, capable, and compassionate hands allowed us to fully enjoy our trip — something we don’t take lightly. Julie is professional, deeply kind, incredibly attentive, and truly gifted with animals. We would trust her again without a second thought and cannot recommend her highly enough. If you’re lucky enough to book her, you can rest easy knowing your pets are in the very best hands.
If you need the perfect sitter, you’re on the right page. I cannot say enough amazing things about Julie. She watched my 14 year old dog, Rosie, at our house for a week. Being that she’s 14, she’s a little more complicated with some medical issues. Julie exceeded our expectations. She was responsible, responsive, caring, and organized when caring for Rosie (along with more than I can list). We dealt with a medication change while Julie was watching her and I had no hesitation she would handle it with ease, which she did. She provided updates as requested and scheduled ones too. We could tell our dog was happy with her in the photos and loving her time with Julie. She also left our house neat and tidy. I’m pretty sure it was cleaner than we left it.
