Information Julie R. would like to know about your pet

Getting to know a dog and his/her behavior requires me getting to know them before I sit for them. I would like to know the dogs temperament, what sets them off, how much they bark, what commands you have taught them that I should use and how well they play with other dogs. There is a laundry list of questions that I can ask, but I find that these basics are a good starting point. I believe that there are no breeds that I would not sit for and my philosophy is that a dog is only as docile as his trainer allows him to be.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks I referenced a large neighborhood with great walking paths and a park across the street. This is where I will walk your dog. I also live in a great neighborhood near trails and plenty of open space. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will sleep where you feel comfortable for him to sleep. If he sleeps in the bedroom in his bed on the floor, than he can sleep there. If he just sleeps on the floor, then that is okay as well. I would like to talk about this during our first meeting so that we can make him feel as comfortable as he can. Time I'll spend with your dog I work a full-time job, however, my husband comes home every day for lunch. I am available to come home as well. I spend a good chunk of time in the morning with my dog. I work only until 4pm each day, and that gives me time to spend in the evening with my dog. I take my dog on walks in the evening.

Dogs make our lives better!

Pet care experience

"Dogs Make our Lives Better." I read this quote in a book recently. I think that there may not be a more true statement. I have always had dogs in my life. Since I was a kid, I have always wanted to work with dogs, and this gives me the opportunity to care for your pooch in a loving, safe and fun fashion. Not only do dogs make our lives better, but I want to make your dogs life better and hope that you will consider my services the next time you need a dog sitter. About this sitter: I grew up with dogs all around me. From childhood to now, I don't recall a time when I have not had a deep love of dogs. My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Charlotte, was the first dog I had on my own and was the joy of my life. I now have two great dogs, ZsaZsa and Nova. They are my joy and they absolutely love each other. I have a very comfortable and roomy house where your dog can sleep, play and feel safe. I have a large backyard and live in a lovely neighborhood with walking paths and a park. Let me take the burden off of you by hosting your dog in a friendly, safe and fun environment. Why I love dog sitting My dad used to come home with dogs that he rescued from the Dumb Friends League. I remember always being around dogs and the love that I felt even at a very young age for them. I grew up loving dogs so much that I wanted to start a dog walking business. I worked for a dog walking business for a little while, which just solidified my love of pooches. I hope you give me the opportunity to be a part of your pooches life. About my yard My backyard is very large. It wraps around the back of my house. The yard has a deck that lead to a large grassy area. The backyard is totally fenced in and faces my neightbors backyards directly. Some of my neighbors have dogs, however, they are very quiet and rarely bark. When my dog and the other dogs are outside, they like to chat with one another. My experience administering medication I have given medication to my dog, my sister's dog, and my parent's dog when needed for years. I’ve administered medication for dogs who have stayed with us as well. This does not scare me or make me nervous in the least. If I can help the dog feel better or make his life better, than that is the most important thing to me.

Julie was a fabulous sitter! Her and her husband took great care of echo and sent lots of photos. Echo enjoyed playing in Julie’s spacious yard with her dogs Nova and Zsa Zsa.
