Pet care experience
I have had dogs since childhood. I have experience with dogs in all stages of life from puppyhood through senior years. I have experience caring for my own dogs with diabetes and separation anxiety and am happy to work with yours! I transport rescue dogs of all sizes and am experienced with pups all sizes and temperaments. My current dogs are all seniors so I am experienced at dispensing medication as well.

Julie is our go to for pet sitting! She’s lovingly kept both of our dogs over the last 20 years (we had 1 lab for 14yrs and now have another) and we’ve always referred to their time with her as the “dog spa”. We’ve always said when we die we hope we come back as a Julie Pohar dog because every dog that has ever been in her presence has had some of the best moments of its life!!
I can honestly say I have never met a person that is more compassionate and caring about any dog she meets as Julie! When I leave my pups in her care, I have zero worries. She treats my babies like they are her own! I couldn’t recommend Julie enough! She goes above and beyond for any animal!

When walking your dog, we will stay on the sidewalks or off the street if no sidewalks. Harnessed dogs are safer while we are out. Walks can be as long as you prefer, up to 30 minutes. While pet sitting, your pup will be walked if requested, let out with constant supervision, and given food and medication if required. Please note that if you require more care for your dog than just a walk, it would fall under drop-ins. Plenty of love and attention come with all services!

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, such as medications or behavioral issues. Dogs need to be house trained (occasional accidents happen, of course). Dogs must be comfortable with strangers. Dogs with a bite history cannot be accepted.
A typical day
When watching your precious pets, we will play, go for walks, have owner-approved treats, and plenty of snuggles! If your baby just wants some down time, that can be accommodated as well! Your pup will be well cared for regardless of his or her needs!
