Services
Julie can care for
Availability
I'm only accepting services within 15 minutes from Jamaica Plain! Since I'm a full-time pet caretaker, I can take walks and drop-ins before 9 and after 4 on weekdays, and any time on weekends. I'm available for sittings in your home - weekend sittings are best, but if you don't need much 9-4 on weekdays, that could work.

Safety, trust & environment
I will absolutely keep them leashed at all times, except in designated areas and circumstances that are okayed by the pet parents. I have experience walking dogs who can get leash reactive, and I always ensure that we leave the situation as quickly as possible. In our home, we're very used to not leaving chewable items out.
Information Julie O. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog is reactive and in what circumstances, if they need to be solo or what types of dogs they can coexist with, and their favorite treats!
A typical day
I love going out on nature walks or hikes. If your dog is park-friendly, I'd so happily take them! I love exploring new spots outside with dogs, playing whatever they're into, and letting them go on a sniffari.

Pet care experience
I've been a full-time pet caretaker since January 2024, and had a lifetime of love and care for animals before that. I've cared for 5+ senior dogs, including those in their twilight days. This includes thorough cleaning, using diapers, pee pads, and going outside in the most gentle and comforting fashion. I've had my Dog, Honey, since January 2021. She is my moon and my stars ✨ I have experience training her with manners and reactivity, as well as potty training. I have experience helping train a very human-reactive dog, and I've worked with lots of dog-reactive dogs over the year. I believe in a loving, safe, happy environment for dogs. Taking care of your fuzzy friends brings me so much joy 💖😊

Reviews

This was the second time Julie watched my cat Nani, and she was just as amazing as before. She’s easy to communicate with before and during. I came home to a very happy cat! Also, the photos she sends are so good :)

Julie was amazing! She sent great updates and beautiful (and sometimes hilarious) photos of my cat each visit. She was easy to coordinate with before and during.

Julie did a fantastic job with our two kitties Kara and Theo! Kara is very shy, but warmed up to Julie very quickly over the course of a long weekend. Julie was prompt and communicative and we will definitely be asking her to help out in the future!

Julie is an attentive and responsive cat sitter. When we come home our cats are clearly cared for and loved.
